Sept. 22, 22: Routine, Errands, Exam, Jogging, Teaching, TV, and Games

[Man! Had a rough night tonight. 😭 Woke up at four this morning with a seriously upset tummy and freezing cold. 🥶 I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep, but it woke me up several times and I just had to get up and turn the furnace on…wicked dragging hard right now; gotta’ work on this post and then maybe try to go back to sleep despite already having drunk a pot of coffee (not helpful for the old tummy either 😢).]

Slept from around nine thirty until six today for a pretty solid night’s sleep and only about a half an hour short with waking up throughout the duration. Didn’t drag too bad and I got my stuff done that I needed to for the day, so close enough.

Can’t think of all too much interesting regarding the morning routine, just the usual. Cryptos still trading about in the same spot with BTC hovering just below $20k, HIVE still around $.50, but I have a feeling we haven’t seen the bottom yet. 😢

Got to work fairly early on my post for the day and had it done nearly an hour before my normal posting time and I quick jumped in the car and took the dog for a ride into town to the smoke store and the puffity-puff store and home again. I ended up having to post while I was out, but no big deal, and I was back home already shortly thereafter.

Got some lunch and hit the wall a little bit, but our goal for Calculus class this evening was to review for the first exam, which meant I needed to write the exam so we could review it! 😮 Got started on it and was about halfway through and I took a break to get a bit of exercise in. I’d only planned to go around the block, but I ended up pushing myself a little harder and put in almost six. 💪

Man, was it chilly out there! I put on a proper running long over shirt with a t-shirt under, but with the wind I was still uncomfortable. I tried to push myself to keep the pace down and did quite a bit of jogging (as much as I could, honestly 😢 not sixteen anymore I suppose) thinking that would warm me up…it did, but then the sweating, woah boy! I was cold! 🥶

Was a beautiful day out otherwise and the sun felt awesome when the wind took a break for a second (or rather a microsecond 😛).

I only saw like one lonely butterfly the whole time and the pond was devoid of turtle 🐢 or frog 🐸 activity. Winter is coming. 😢

When I got home I finished up with working on the exam and got it scheduled and set and then started thinking about dinner. I should have figured…my tummy has been kinda’ meh lately, but I made myself spicy gumbo soup and grilled cheese sandwich for dinner…for this I will [am] pay. Spicy going in, spicy coming out (and the cheese was a dumb idea anyway). 😜

After I ate I hopped in the shower and got the office set up for teaching. We did well and although I think I might have skipped one or two of the questions, we did examples of all the rest and ended just slightly over two hours. So, it should probably only take them about that long (less all my jibber-jabber, plus being slower because still learning should just about balance out).

Chatted on Discord for a bit after class to try and unwind a little, played some WombPlay games after the reset, and then put on some Bless the Harts until falling asleep [only to be woken up freezing not too much after that 😭].

Six stated and twenty-four actual SIM income on dShitty today. Still can’t seem to do any better than in the twenties, but I suppose that’s better than the single digits it was for a very long while.

And yet another day has passed without any desire to play Splinterlands…looking at only a week left in the season now and buried in Silver with crippled monsters and I don’t really see all that much point. Sure, I can spend the hours trying to get back to Diamond again (and maybe get a couple SPS and/or cards - but mostly potions, you know I’m right) along the way, but then I’m right back here in the same spot again in a week’s time…my only real motivation is not to get buried even worse.

The big hubub today was the Runi ETH card. I wanna’ be whoever has five hundred bucks plus ETH fees to blow on a single card! 😯 Call it butthurt or sour grapes or whatever you want, but I’m out. (Also pisses me off that they used “Runicore” when I have already built my whole game around Mythicore, fuckholes).

Claimed my SPS and vouchers and been leaving the SPS liquid for quite a few days now. Decided it was time to move both SPS and vouchers out to swap and get something else…maybe some WAX and buy some more junk for Dungeon Master? We’ll see.
