Oct. 25, 22: Routine, PIMP Meeting, Walking, Yard Work, Teaching, TV, and Games

Well, pretty typical night last night. Got to sleep fairly late around ten or so, up in the middle of the night and out to the couch, woken up at seven by the cat and dog and wife and lights…I did manage to pull off a solid eight hours, though, so I’m still doing alright. I’d say it’s pretty borderline (like I don’t feel like I’m super energetic and could lose an hour or two and be alright), but I haven’t been dragging too badly lately. 👍😁

Got up and got on with the usual morning stuff and was happy to see not only motion, but upward motion in the crypto markets! 😯 We did actually break above a long-term resistance (since about May of this year), which is a solidly bullish sign, but for now I’m just looking at it as a rally in a bear 🐻 market, probably not a turnaround. Time will tell, but it’s certainly better than the alternative; glad to be able to say that BTC is back above $20k, at least for the moment. HIVE is still below $.5 but we did gain back about five percent or so.

It looks like I’m losing another large, long-term investor in the Solairitas Project and now I have to figure out how to buy back 350. Lost several people lately and that got me reflecting on the whole thing. I mean, it’s been three year now since I started the token/project and of the $500k goal we have less than $5k. As much as I want to build it and show it can be done and contribute to green energy production, I can’t make people buy the token, and honestly that’s a lot of money to trust someone with. It would be a lot easier if I had the money for the land, that would show progress and we’d just be raising funds for the equipment (might sell faster, who knows 🤷.

I have, of course, considered paying out divvies (and am considering it again even more strongly now as a way of attracting people), but I’m just so shit scared of the SEC and being accused of “profit sharing” since the intention is to be a real company in the real world that own land and assets and have to pay taxes and all that…

For now, I’m extremely discouraged. Thinking it may just be better to say (not that it’s not possible) but that I couldn’t pull it off…I’ve kept to my word thus far and done what I said I would do, but clearly it’s not enough and the Project isn’t actually anywhere close to being built (what can I do with less than $5k?) so I’m also considering buying all the tokens back at face value and throwing in the towel. 😭 I really don’t want to, but maybe that’s best…otherwise I have to figure out where to come up with 350 HIVE to buy my own token (already bought back 108 🤬).

Anyway, got caught up in all of that and then realized I was late starting on my post. Got to work on it and then realized it was Tuesday morning and there was Pimp meeting. I ended up being a solid half hour late to the meeting and then had to only pay half attention again to try and get my post done. Got it done, and only a few minutes late, right about the time the meeting finished up.

That signaled the end of the morning routine and I was faced with the rest of the day ahead. I’d pretty much done all my planning for Calculus this evening (although I did go over it some more and looked for a couple more examples), so I was more or less free. Since I’d gone without the dog for a Zombierun yesterday, I figured I’d take him today, and he wanted to go.

Not too bad out, and even though we only went about four kilometers, Dude was running almost the whole time and pushed the pace to the point that I was sweating bigtime when we got back.

I even caught a pic of a butterfly! What are you doing out here, bro?

Got some lunch and dinked around with WombPlay games and on Discord for a bit, then rather than bust out the Quest, it’s Fall and that means leaves 🍁 and crap all over the yard, so I decided to take care of it. They come by with a big machine and suck them all up (so we don’t burn them) and so they all have to be moved up front to the street.

It honestly took me the whole afternoon to do it all. The leaves were quite dry, so that wasn’t too bad, but along one side of the house we have pine trees and the friggin’ pine needles; man, there was a ton of them, and it seemed like each one wanted to stick in the grass and not blow. 😡

Eventually, though, the job succumbed to my persistence and it was done…except for all the leaves that fell/blew onto the yard in the meantime. 😛

Grabbed some cereal for dinner and then hopped in the shower and got everything ready for class. We covered double integrals over polar regions today and we covered all the examples I’d prepared except for one that we only had time to set up but didn’t finish since it was pretty involved/time consuming integration.

Ended class just about on time and then faced the challenge of trying to wind down and get to bed. I played some more games and did my WombPlay daily challenges after the reset and we watched some Murder, She Wrote.

I was wide awake still, though, and we watched the new episode of Reboot before putting on Golden Girls. It was nearly midnight when Wenche started snoring and I still hadn’t fallen asleep, so I just moved out to the couch 🛋 right away.

Even so, I struggled for quite a while to get to sleep…thinking about Solairitas and what to do about that, and Mythix and its stagnation, and the house with its crumbling foundation and gutted upstairs, and the car sitting in parts in the garage, and how nothing I start ever seems to amount to much…

Well, let’s see…ah, yes, the old General Crime chestnut. Fantastic way to build in a mechanic to make dShitty just shittier for everyone. Love this game, that fourteen SIM should put all my kids through college. (True, since I have none. 😛)

Of course, of course! Fu$&ing drunk fans again on Rising Star…had two days with no Ego, so I suppose I should have expected it, but dammit it’s just round and round in circles getting nowhere slowly.

One day left for this round of the HashKings waiting game. I really need to sit down at the computer, so hopefully it won’t sit too long after it’s due up.

Really not much to say about Splinterlands today. I still haven’t played at all (nor do I seem to have any desire to) and I couldn’t be bothered to go in and try to get splex.gg working; so it’s still sitting more or less idle like all the other idle games on chain (or even worse since it’s earning nothing sitting there 😡).

Claimed my SPS interest and, for the third or fourth day now, staked it all up. I did see a bit of green in the market, but still haven’t made any moves with what I already have waiting over there, so letting my balance grow and the vouchers accrue for now.
