Oct. 17, 21: Routine, Grocery Shopping, Walking, Oculus, TV, and Games
Was up quite a bit earlier than I would have preferred, about twenty minutes before five! đ± Only ended up about an hour short, though, but I have been feeling my energy drained a little the past couple daysâŠa bit tired, but not so much that as having difficulty getting motivated.
Not a whole lot going on during the morning routine. BTC pulling back and then spiking up to the last high at $62.5kâŠlooks like we got some resistance there, hopefully break through and head up toward $69k (which you know will be a thing, âcause 69). Polygon actually ticked up a nice bitâŠsaw some double-digit greens today. My FIRE, however, still basically a total loss. I havenât capitulated, though, held through this tough time, so hopefully my patience will be rewarded. đ€
Wasnât particularly nice out this morning, not too wet, but some, and coldâŠwe would have normally gone out anyway, but (very sadly) thereâs no more #AutomaticWin goal. đ. So, like we did last week, we switched up the order and went and did the grocery shopping first thing. Was more expensive than usual, but I got some primer and high temperature enamel for the Model A oil pan; need to get it cleaned off first, thoughâŠwant to sandblast it, but need a big cardboard box to do it in (to recover the sand whenever possible). I think thatâs a relatively simple, but noticeable improvement to make, getting the pan all cleaned out and brand new (correctly) painted. Nervous that I got the right stuffâŠthere was another primer that would also fill pits and was sandable. The restoration guidelines say that no effort was made to make the pan look smooth or to cover tooling or die marksâŠI do have two places that have been patched/welded and I might lose points for that, but Iâm going to go with just regular primer and black enamel like the book says.
We got back relatively early and put everything away. By that time it had warmed up and dried out a bit. I still had long stuff on and a hat, but otherwise it was quite nice.
Clear, sunny skies for the most part. Just a couple puffy white clouds here and there. âïž
Another bonus of heading out later seems also to be that we miss all the other people who walk their dogs back there as well. đ
Not quite as many shrooms out as last week, but we were still able to find a couple:
Still a few bugs around as well once the sun has come outâŠgot an earwig getting Wiggy witâ it:
A ladybug:
And a wooly caterpillar:
Nifty grasses have gone to seed and look all fuzzy:
The pond was pretty quiet today. We didnât see any signs of life either fish or turtles. đą Maybe been too cold for them already?
The water level is crazy high now! Much more rain and itâs going to flood the banks!
The doggies clearly had fun running around and sniffing. They were both very well behaved today and stayed close.
Wasnât really able to muster the gumption to try and tackle any particular goalâŠwanted to work some more on the back porch, but it was too cold to tolerate being soaking wet as well. Did some thinking about the car, but couldnât pin down what I wanted to doâŠ
Instead, I played some Beat Saber on the Oculus for a bit. I did make one checkpointâs worth of progress on Death Horizon, but Iâm up against that impossible big guy in a narrow hallâŠinstakilled several times and quit.
Just chilled for most of the afternoon and evening again. We watched The Cave, which was alright, and the Good Witch, which is a horrible, cheesy soap opera that Wenche likes to torture me with.
I really donât think itâs worth adding a section to my post, but I did go in and buy a few CPUs on Markyâs âgameâ ripoff of a failed ripoffâŠnot that I have the least desire to âplayâ (oooh, buy my token, why?, to destroy my other token durrrrr) but theyâre throwing it away, giving it out like candy, so why notâŠdidnât cost me any extra to get them. More or less just interested to see how much of a scam it will end up beingâŠlooks like I paid 6 APE for .001 APE income per day (I.e. not profitable in this lifetime), but Iâll have to wait and see.
That was it for the day, fell asleep pretty early watching TV, but we did get some stuff done in the morning, so it wasnât all lost.
Wow! Got an astounding thirteen SIM todayâŠlooks like I have even less to look forward to coming up. Well done, dShitty, youâve managed to get even shittierâŠfurther down the spiral.
Got that brew done and sold out yesterday on CryptoBrewmaster and set another ingredient going, but havenât gone back in to collect it yet. Got several I need, so probably going to be a while.
For some strange reason I keep at missions and lessons on Rising Star. Building up a nice store of Starbits at this point, but not really willing to part with them for so little effect. Weâll see, might withdraw some.
I really donât understand why Splinterlands is sucking so bad. Been a couple days since the reset and all Iâve been able to do is bury myself halfway down in Silver for the extra fun of having to play with crippled monsters, yet somehow against crazy OP gold teams. đ€·
Two more losses further into Silver was all it took today to absolutely obliterate any desire I had to play.
