Feb. 2, 22: Routine, Snow Day, PIMP Meeting, Oculus, Web Work, TV, and Games

[Been busy since I woke up this morning trying to figure out what went wrong yesterday with my chain I/O on the website. There were about eight different things that could have been the problem, but I think I’ve found a workaround and got the first steps going! 💪 Unfortunately, that means I’m really late getting started on my post today and still have errands to do, let alone the Solairitas Update that I’m now weeks behinds on again. 😱 Just trying to get some done and hopefully brave the snow and get my errands done right away.]

Definitely a rough night last night. I got up at five, like usual, but didn’t fall asleep until well after ten thirty last night which left me a good two and a half hours short. Although I dragged hard after lunch, I did push through and kept out of bed the whole day (almost).

Still about the same old story with the morning routine. HIVE did get a nice little bump to the upside, which was nice, but BTC and MATIC trading slightly to the downside. Otherwise, just the usual curation and YouTube and chatting on Discord.

I guess one random thing was that I went in on Drug Wars. (Yes, it still exists) and it looks like they’re going to have an airdrop on BSC and Polygon. 😯

We did have the day off from school today, and I didn’t have to go in for jury duty, so another solid day off! 🥳 That did mean that I got to spend some fun time out in the cold and slush clearing the walks and the driveway. Was a bit hard on my back shoveling that heavy snow, but I don’t think the blower would have done very well with it.

Headed over to the Alliance discord for the weekly #PIMP meeting. 👍 Looking like things are going strong and, happily, we’re going to get rid of LasseCash (can’t dump it faster than it comes in! 😡).

I got my post done and all that, had a relatively early lunch, and then hit the wall. I tried to resist by playing some Oculus, and I did for a little while, but after I won the final fight of Thrill of the Fight (by knockout 🥊) I was wrecked and sweaty and that was all I could handle.

I laid down to watch some Electric Dreams and I did sort of fall asleep for a couple minutes, but then Wenche had her lunch and woke me up moving around. Was alright, though, didn’t really want to lose the day again.

Figured that I’d might at well face the fact that what will make me feel better about myself and my productivity is getting to work on the website. Been putting it off long enough and I fired up the computer and sat down to the inevitable hair pulling.

I got the computer restarted (which takes way longer than it should), got all logged back in to everything, and then it sort of took me a minute to catch up to where I was and what I was working on. Fixed something I broke but don’t remember why, and then started to work on the real task at hand: chain I/O.

Not super happy to admit it, but I spent most of the evening working on that and got nothing to work. 😡 There’s about umpteen reasons why it might not be working and possibly some I’m not even thinking about, but the immediate issue is that I get a syntax error for trying to deal with JavaScript inside of a PHP file. Frustrating as hell! I tried going back and looking at the code I’d done earlier for Solairibot, but that was so wildly different (and old) that it wasn’t helpful at all.

When Wenche got done with work (she worked from home because of the snow as well) she made us pasta and meat sauce for dinner and we watched Workaholics. Played some Splinterlands and then I had a ton of steps left since I’d been sitting at the computer for most of the day, so I did some marching (and a little bit of cheating) before laying down.

Even though it’s stressed me out and I still haven’t gotten it to work (which is a big reason I was procrastinating), it does feel good to have gotten to work and focused…eventually the problem will be solved and on the other side I’ll have a functional website! 😄

My Shopping Mall got robbed in dShitty and my income is only “supposed” to be two, but somehow I got seventeen? Don’t ask me, it’s long since ceased to make even the remotest of sense. I did happen to check and for whatever reason my base income is only two hundred rather than nearly four as it was…still, 17/200 is pretty shitty.

Not really anything to say about Rising Star today; just did a couple missions, and that was it. Ego is still looking good, so that’s one nice thing.

Played some Splinterlands in the evening. I had the quest from yesterday left over, so I finished that and then got caught up with my quests by finishing out today’s.

Not too bad today. I was hoping to get into Gold II before finishing, but time ran out and so I just went for it:

Started working on my Earth quest for today and broke into Gold II! 😀👍💪

Got my quest done in the new tier, and got a gold foil, but once again a useless one:

No market moves today, just waiting for vouchers to go back up a little and staked my SPS for the day.
