Dec. 8, 22: Routine, Errands, Calculus Exam, Walking, Teaching, TV, and Games

[Woot! Today we got the first two Quarter Finals of the World Cup!!!! ⚽️😍 Can’t wait!]

Got to bed at ten again last night, which has been amazingly consistent lately. I have cut back on coffee (only drinking half as much as I used to) and have cut out the Red Bulls in the afternoons and that seems to have helped a bit.

It didn’t take all that long before the snoring got me up and it wasn’t even midnight when I went out to the couch. The cat woke me up again around three or so, but I got back to sleep until six thirty. Ended up another hour short and I did drag today and crashed out for about half an hour later on.

In addition to the usual token shifting, curation, Discord pings, and crypto markets monitoring, I got pinged regarding a new game/airdrop from the HIQS magazine and the INK token. There’s a contest to become one of the cards in the game (which is a neat idea) and I put in for Gamer. 😁 Was a tough decision, wanted to go with CEO/Dev, but I felt like that was kind of putting the cart before the horse at this point and dialed it back. As a result I got an itch and went in and bought and staked some more HIQS (hopefully get a little more airdrop) as well as getting some INK for entries into the contest. 🤞

Otherwise the markets were still range bound and red just slightly, didn’t really make any moves anywhere, but really starting to feel like it’s time to get out of Polygon…I’ve waited this long already, though…

Got to work on my post for the day and got a decent one done a solid hour before posting time. I considered scheduling it, but I was hoping to run into town to do my errands and be back before posting time.

The dog came with me for a ride and I hit the smoke store and the puffity-puff store, but didn’t quite get back in time and I posted on the way back. I dinked around for a bit after I got home and grabbed an early lunch.

At that point I started to drag, but I had a Calculus III exam to write…I kind of planned to take a nap and then work on it, but figured that way was dangerous and I got it created and scheduled first and then laid down.

I put on the new season of Warrior Nun, which was kind of dumb since I actually want to watch it, and fell asleep for about a half an hour or so. Woke up craving something sweet, so I got some cereal for an early dinner and then figured that just winging it and making up review questions on the fly was probably not the smartest plan and I sat down and created (and worked through) a whole other copy of the exam for class.

Once I got finished with that, I felt sufficiently prepared but I was running a little short on time; still, I’d promised Dude yesterday that I would take him for a walk today, so I did, at least a short one around downtown and back…not exactly a “proper” walk. 🙈

For reals! Here we are in the first week of December and there’s no snow and forty degrees out?! So awesome, no complaints from me!

Wenche had an appointment after work so had asked me to get my shower early so she could get one right after she was done and I got it done right after we got back home. That gave me about a half an hour to kill before class and I got set up and messed around on Discord for a few minutes and then started class.

I had my usual five pages of notes and we went through one of each type of the twenty questions and ended just about exactly on time. 🤓😁 Wenche wasn’t home for a while after class, so I got myself ready for bed and watched some Superstore and did my WombPlay challenges after the reset.

Speaking of which, for the entire day of clicking buttons, even with an increased mining power, I got about one and a half cents contribution to the season rewards. 😡😭 There’s a few guys at the top taking the vast majority of the rewards, so the rest of us basically just bought season passes to pay them.

There’s clearly quite a bit of discontent in their Discord, but rather than getting myself booted from the server (which also means being banned from playing the game), I’m keeping my mouth more or less shut, but pretty much decided that I gave it a go, after four seasons it’s still not worth it and it’s getting worse, so I think I’m done after this season…can only hope there’s somebody else out there who will buy the NFTs.

The dShitty site was under maintenance when I went in to get my pic. It paid a measly seven SIM today but I’m not happy that it’s at least something rather than nothing, the something doesn’t even make up for itself let alone the nothing. 🤬🤬 If my complaints about this each and every single fucking day keeps one person out of this, then I can count myself a hero.

My Rising Star Ego is still at zero, and surprisingly there’s no drunks, so I continue the endless grind…I wonder if rsgfam will tell me how much HIVE I put into this 🤔, would be good to know to gauge whether I could recoup or not.

Considering I can’t even get an updated picture of my balances or anything, I really don’t see the point of having a HashKings section any more…in fact, I’m probably giving it more lip service than it deserves in the first place. Been thinking of relegating it to the last “random games” section, but there’s probably not even enough to say to justify that.

My Splinterlands rental income did get a bit of a bump today all the way up to a whole $1.9! Did the bots get bored with it too?! 😛

Did the usual SPS claim and paid the rental fee. Got over a hundred liquid saved so I think it’s time to swap some out. Unfortunately, their value has continued to collapse, so I won’t get much HIVE for it, but I’m looking to punt a bit harder into HIQS and INK, so probably just going to take the price as it is. Thinking of pulling out vouchers and the DEC for the same reason…already spent. 😯

Got a bit more WOO from airdrops and stuff over on Discord and been staking it up, so my daily rewards continue to move in the right direction (no mining rewards, though).

I did a double check and my GLX drop is just about a hundred a day, so at the current level looking at like $7.5 a day? Can’t complain about that either (although I always just seem to stake most everything anyway)! 🤑
