Dec. 25, 22: Routine, Shoveling, TV, Laps, and Games

Fell asleep around nine again and for the first time in a very long time I slept through the whole night without being woken up at all (filled the cat’s food bowl and left the basement door open)! 🥳 Got up just before seven for a solid nine hours on the night! 🤩 To be honest, I’m still having trouble focusing on much of anything and my productivity is still low, but hopefully I can get caught up and start feeling motivated here soon.

Did the usual morning routine and can’t think of anything out of the ordinary there. HIVE gave back five percent, but why am I not surprised? Otherwise, BTC is holding up just below $17k.

Otherwise, just did all the usual token shifting, curation, getting caught up on pings, and then got to work on my post. Somehow, despite being a bump on a log for an entire day, I managed to get my thousand words and got it published and shared.

Honestly, I didn’t even feel like playing Quest or anything and being Christmas morning with the roads covered in snow I decided to skip the weekly grocery shopping as well.

I didn’t feel good about just watching movies all day again, so I decided to at least go out and take care of the driveway and sidewalks. Unfortunately, my Christmas present was a snow blower that wouldn’t start. 😭 Tried to get it going for a while, but it started spitting gas out the carburetor, so the engine was flooded and it wasn’t going to start regardless and I resigned to doing it by hand.

Luckily, for the most part it was fairly light snow, but it was also a good foot (and more where it drifted), so it wasn’t just whoosh and done…took me a solid two hours of working to get it finished.

I kind of rested on my laurels for the rest of the day, though…how did you make the world a better place today or progress toward achieving your goals? I shoveled the sidewalk. 😛

Messed around for a while chatting over on Pizza server, but people were mostly busy with family and stuff and we were having a bot raid, so I mostly just played around trying to figure out who was real and who wasn’t.

Gave Mom and Dad a call to wish them a Merry Christmas and that was about the extent of my accomplishments.

I made myself some French toast for dinner and still didn’t have the desire to jump into VR at all, so just gave up the fight with myself and put on some TV.

I watched Green Ghost and the Masters of the Stones…yeah, about what you’d expect from the title. It did have some alright CGI, but otherwise was kind of dumb.

As it was getting closer to bedtime and I still had about a thousand steps left for the day, I went in and started poking around in the Garmin app looking at available challenges/badges and decided that I could actually double the weekly intensity minutes goal from where it was automatically set to three hundred instead.

That put me about eight minutes short of the weekly goal, though, and so I did some laps around the house to finish out the step goal and kept the heart rate up by jogging in place to get the (beefed) weekly goal as well. 💪

Still considering setting the daily step goal back to ten thousand, though, it’s creeping up by the day…

After I got my steps done, I got myself ready for bed and put on Lost City, a Sandra Bullock movie, but ended up falling asleep about halfway through.

[Really need to work on the website…such a stupid reason to be stuck, I was working on displaying the player’s MTX and Shard balances, but I can’t seem to decide whether to ditch Shards or not…or whether to make them transferable or what…🤬]

While the dShitty site was no longer under maintenance, doesn’t seem like they fixed much of anything. My stated income is still at one, got an economic crisis that had no effect, and actually got two SIM. I did also get the shitty little token dust payouts, but they were spread all over the feed and I couldn’t be bothered to take three pictures for that.

It’s been like years since they started constantly fucking players to top-down control the token price and it’s been a complete and utter failure and yet they just keep at it harder and harder.

Wow! You have to be fucking kidding me! For the third day in a row I’ve got drunks on Rising Star…I’m assuming my actual Ego is likely nonzero by now, but I have no clue really. For whatever reason, unknown even to the Gods, I just keep on with missions.

Kind of hard to gauge to be honest, since there’s so many factors at play (how much gets rented at what price, the value of DEC in HIVE, as well as the value of HIVE in dollars), but for whatever reasons my Splinterlands rental income did fall slightly today to $1.4.

Between CCC and Astral Revelations I’ve pretty much burned through all the liquid HIVE I had saved up, so thinking it’s about time to withdraw and swap.

Just did the usual claim and stake today, watching that balance grow just for the sake of watching it grow.

My stake rewards for today were a little lower than yesterday, but average them out and we’re right around fifteen a day still. No mining rewards, but some more of the Christmas airdrops ended and I staked a couple hundred more. 🤑

CCC:
I’m not exactly sure what possessed me, considering I haven’t seen any game from this yet (still could end up being a total rug), but I bought one more SQM…bout thirty HIVE deep into this already; kinda’ amazed at how “risk on” I’ve been with these new projects, especially with how consistently disappointing the current ones are and have been for the most part.

Speaking of which, I’m all set for the Astral Revelations pre-sale tomorrow. Astra will also go on sale as well on H-E, so looks like I’m already going forty-five HIVE deep into this one…😱
