My Actifit RC: June 8th 23 - Alive in Naples's Sightseeing stage 9 - IAAC #369

A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.

The stable period of time continues thanks to the warm and powerful embrace of the African anticyclone. A few clouds make company to the hill of San Martino in the blue sky.

Through the back passage of the road where I live I can in front of the local health unit to take the Circumvesuviana of Barra station which is a couple of kilometers from my house.

Arrived by metro to Piazza Cavour within the ancient city through the walls of the gate of San Gennaro in Via Foria.

On the left, as soon as you enter through the door, there is the church of Jesus of the nuns that however I have found closed and therefore we have to make a little more of walk in order to find something to visit for the stage today.

Arrived at the upper decumanus I go down along the old road and arrive on Via Duomo where I find more luck with the church of San Giuseppe dei Ruffi a beautiful monumental building built thanks to donations from a large number of Neapolitan noblewomen among which Caterina Ruffo.

The works begun in 1606 were completed in 1734 with the addition of the frescoed dome showing the representation of Saint Joseph ascending to heaven.

The high altar was made, in clear impressionist mould, by Dionisio Lazzari. In polychromatic marble it is surrounded by a series of works by great Neapolitan artists of 1600 including a canvas by Luca Giordano. Shooting is a cloistered nun who is in prayer.

Very complicated was taking pictures of the side chapels. The domes had windows with yellow stained glass windows and on the knocks on the head that yellowed the photographs making it impossible to shoot those in darker areas.

Of considerable difficulty was also the shooting of the cross on the high altar because a light created beautiful reflections very scenic to see but that kept almost impossible the framing.

Ultimately it was a nice discovery as it is one of the most beautiful churches we visited. After leaving the church I went through the life of the courts where is the beautiful daughter of San Gennaro almost covered by banners of recent celebrations for the Scudetto.

Here I stopped to celebrate stage number 369 of my personal #iamalivechallenge ended by putting together about 10,500 steps and keeping the average physical activity constant.
