Sunny Ride : My Actifit Report Card: March 4 2025

It was such a nice sunny day again, I just had to take advantage of the good weather and go for a bike ride.

Starting off by heading for Ifield Mill Pond. Then Buchan Park via some muddy tracks.

The sunshine this week has been glorious! This seems to be a typical thing in spring in recent years. It starts off very cold, freezing in fact, then the sun gets to work and warms up enough to really feel quite warm by the afternoon.

Buchan Park was stunning in the sunshine. All we need now is the green canopy to open 😁. That wont be long though, especially if the sunshine stays with us.

Now it was time to leave Buchan Park and make my way to Tilgate Park via a few town roads. Its not far, but I am restricted by the still damp conditions on some of the tracks. Obstacles, such as fallen trees can sometimes be a problem.

When this happens, a new track is formed around the obstruction.

Tilgate Park was also stunning. I relaxed for a while at the lake and had refreshments. There were not many people around, probably due to today being a school day, and it was coming up to school out time.

It looks dry in my pictures, but dont be fooled! In many places it was boggy! I avoided all the bad places but still had difficulties. I know these tracks well, this is very useful knowledge when planning my rides.

It was a very satisfying ride today in improving conditions. It wont be long now until all tracks will be available for riding. I look forward to that because it opens up a whole new world of opportunities! 😆
