A trip to Brighton : My Actifit Report Card: August 29 2024
There is a lot to see in Brighton. This seaside town is only about 20 miles from where I live but I don't often come here!
Architecture like the Brighton Pavilion, for instance. Which was once frequented by royalty. It looks a bit rundown now which is rather sad.
Brighton used to have two piers. Only one remains now though. You can make out the remains of the west pier in the next picture. Not much left of it!
We walked along the remaining palace pier, where we had a nice fish and chips lunch.
The beaches were quite busy on this very pleasant and sunny day. A fairly stiff breeze kept the heat away. We sat for a couple of hours at a beach bar, enjoying the sunshine.
There is also a viewing platform called the i360. This giant glass pod rises up a central pillar to the height of 450ft!
Not for the faint-hearted!

Wow so good that you got to see Brighton again. Beach towns are rather far from where I am. It will take around 3-4 hours one way to get there. 😆 The pavilion looked lovely. Wish they got to maintain it. I'm sure it's fascinating to explore. Enjoy your weekend!
