Sunshine at last! ..My Actifit Report Card: June 20 2024

It looks like we have a period of summer weather conditions at last. It was lovely today. Although I was working, I was lucky enough to be outside enjoying the sunshine.

So today I was sent to Heathrow Airport to meet the Vietnam Airlines flight and cater the aircraft for the return flight.

My picture shows the scene while we waited for the inbound flight to arrive. We eventually headed across the taxiway to an aircraft stand in the background of the picture.

Always fun and exciting working airside, unless you have to do it all the time. The procedures and paperwork take a lot of time nowadays even for the small projects we used to get.

I'm afraid that's part and parcel of the work now. Training and security is tight as you can imagine. But I've been working airside for 12 years now and it's just like a second home. 😆
