My Actifit Report Card: May 30 2024
After about six weeks without cycling, I thought it was about time that I went for a ride! The main reasons being that I haven't felt like doing it, or I have been too busy. It has been hectic for a few reasons, not least because I have a large and demanding family.
However, today I was free to get out on my mountain bike. Just a shortish ride to blow the cobwebs away!
So, off towards Buchan Park! Where else to enjoy a nice short ride. Past the lake, out into the wilds, where the peace and quiet was deafening! 😁 Here in England we are on a school half term holiday, so there are plenty of children around with their parents. The park was fairly busy.
The conditions were perfect, even though there were rain showers around. At about 17/18°C in the sunshine it felt great! There are many tracks here and some had recently been re-surfaced or repaired.
I will now build upon today's ride by cycling again in a few days time. Building on my fitness for the longer rides that I have done in past years. It is a really good feeling and a great way to spend time keeping yourself fit and healthy.
