An interesting clash between Beerschot, currently at the bottom of the table, and Anderlecht. This match also represents the first real game as head coach for David Hubert, who takes over for Brian Riemer. Beerschot find themselves in a critical situation, having collected just two points out of 30 available, with an attack that has scored just 8 goals against 27 conceded. To further complicate the situation, there are also off-field problems: coach Dirk Kuyt has highlighted significant structural deficiencies, such as the absence of an adequate training pitch. The fans are extremely disappointed and have staged a protest, urging everyone not to enter the stands until the thirteenth minute of the match. On the other hand, Anderlecht is in excellent form and currently occupy fourth place in the table with 17 points.
