Jose Mourinho is Out!
Good day sport fans, a lot of activities, like the January (winter) transfer window, Australian open, African Cup of Nations, etc, has been going on around the world of sports recently I even have to play catch up with some of the news.
But the recent an most shocking news I heard of is that which was released by the giant Italian Football club, AS Roma. It was stated that the club has parted ways with their coach, Jose Mourinho with immediate effect and he has also been replaced by Daniele De Rossi as the head coach, with a short term contract until June 2024 with option to extend.
Wow right?! Jose Mourinho who is known popularly as the “chosen one” earned this name over the years as result of his sterling cup laden coaching career in various clubs. He came to limelight when he started out with FC Porto in Portugal from where he moved to Chelsea then to Inter Milan to Chelsea again, to Real Madrid to Manchester united to Tottenham Hotspur and finally to AS Roma.
His coaching career started dwindling when he joined Tottenham Hotspur from Manchester united where he arguably had a successful short coaching career, helped them to 2nd in the EPl table and two trophies. But in Tottenham Hotspur he didn't last. Started out fine but eventually coupled with bad results and some issues with the club management, he eventually left and took up the coaching job at AS Roma.

Jose Mourinho’s Achievements at AS Roma
He took AS Roma to the Europa conference league and won it for them. Making him the first coach to win it. Then he also took them to the final of the Europa League but lost at the finals.

Daniele De Rossi, a former AS Roma Defensive midfielder was named coach after AS Roma parted ways with Jose Mourinho parted. He popularly know for his long illustrious footballing career at AS Roma where he had 459 appearance for them, a legendary status. He has played in at all levels for the Italian Football national team and he won the 2006 World cup with his teammates amongst other cups and trophies. The 40 year old will take over the helms and see the club through the remaining days of the season after which the club will determine whether to extend his contract or not. Hopefully he can rejuvenate the club as some ex football players turn coaches have been doing, e.g, Mikel Arteta, Xavi Alonso etc
What's Next for The Special One
We all know that you can never keep a good man down, so I positive and almost sure if Jose Mourinho doesn't take out personal timeout then this Winter transfer he will likely get a new club if not in the summer or next but he won't stay out for long. Based on Mourinho's M.O. I see coaching a big club with deep pocket soon. Clubs like, New Castle, PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, etc I believe will likely be his next destination.
Can't wait to see Jose Mourinho back at his controversial best.
