Who advised Abramovich to buy Chelsea?

In life, we encounter different things, and there are times we need people to advise us to make some decisions. No one can say he/she has never taken advice from anyone in their life. No matter how intelligent you are, there are times you will be left with options without knowing what to decide. Who advised Abramovich to buy Chelsea?

When Abramovich wanted to buy a club, he consulted Sven Goran Eriksson. The rich Russian apparently wanted to buy a club in Russia but changed his mind. He said he wanted to win trophies, and he was contemplating on whether to buy Chelsea or Tottenham. Eriksson told him to go for Chelsea, and he gave his reasons.
Chelsea was doing well and they have good and outstanding players. He won’t have to change the whole team to win trophies. As for Tottenham, he would have to change the whole team to get what he wants. This reason was enough to convince Abramovich to snub Tottenham and go for Chelsea. He completed a £140 million deal for Chelsea at Stanford Bridge and became the Club owner. That was when Jose Mourinho came into play.

Did Abramovich win any trophy?

After the deal was completed, Jose Mourinho was brought from Monaco to take up the managing role and lead Chelsea to win the premier league in 2004 after 50 years of struggle to get their name back on the list. From when Abramovich purchased Chelsea till now, they won 16 trophies, including Uefa champions league if I counted right.

The advice Eriksson gave him really worked wonders. Chelsea is one of the best teams in England. Apart from the fact that they are recently having some issues as they were banned by FIFA from purchasing players this season, they’ve been doing well in the past. Even with the ban from FIFA, they are still among the top 5 in the premier league this season.

Buying Chelsea is a big success for Abrahamovich. Thanks to Eriksson for his wonderful advice.

I hope FIFA lift their ban and allow Chelsea to buy players in the next transfer window.
