I just finished a 12.588km running that lasted about 1hh:23mm:8ss !

TL;DR - Slow and steady, while increasing the distance again

Well, its Sunday again, which means time for another long run. The weather has improved slightly from the last few days, so its chilly, but not super cold. Most importantly, the ice has gone, which means I can actually relax and enjoy the run this time.

Always a plus!

I didn't really need to wear a hat this time, but chose to purely because they help keep my ear-phones in... they keep falling out otherwise which is annoying. I'm gonna need to invest in some new ones which fit better, before the weather warms up (I don't want to be wearing a winter hat in the middle of summer!)

The route was the standard one, up the bypass and back. This is approx 10km. As I am looking to increase my long runs gradually, I am now starting to add extra distance by running round the village afterwards. Today was an extra 2.5km loop, taking me to 12.5km in total.

Eventually I will go to 15km then 20km then....

I did run 21km in February last year ( the furthest I'd ever run) so I'll be looking to do better than that this year. A vague and distant dream to do the full marathon distance at some point soon, but that is awhile off yet.

I do need to keep an eye on pacing though... I want to aim for consistency, and as you can see from these split times, I'm a long way from that lol. Not sure how I can work on making my splits more even, other than just to keep running regularly and hope I get a better feel for my pace.

Anyways. Lunch eaten, I'm gonna grab a quick shower and then I can crack onwith general chores and tidying as I'm back at work tomorrow
