Midweek Run - 16km
dannewton just finished a 16.05km run, that lasted for 96 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 1668.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Can't believe how quick the nights are closing now! I finished work at 4:30, and as I knew I was aiming for a longer run today, I made a conscious effort to get outside as soon as possible to make the most of the daylight.
I headed out at 4:50, and arrived home by 6:20, and it was practically nightfall. Writing this now at 6:35, darkness has fallen. I need to make sure I dig out my headtorch for future runs.
The run itself went well. I headed down to Coleby and back, and then a quick 3km lap around the village resulted in an overall distance of 16km.
not bad for a midweek plod!
As for Pace... I was quicker than I had planned (which in fact lead to a pb for 15km) but I always maintain that the speed I run depends on how I feel.
Evidently I felt pretty good today! And not only did I keep a fairly consistent pace throughout, but the fact that the last 4km were the quickest of the whole session meant that I finished nice and strong too!
Right, time for some tea, and I'd best go dig out that headtorch before I forget.... (again!)

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

I'll be happy to be able to walk for an hour, let alone run it.
You're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.
From the month of August 2022, the Strava2Hive leader board will be determined by "calories burned"!
