Afternoon Walk in the Rain - 2.5km (dog sitting)
dannewton just finished a 2.42km walk, that lasted for 28 minutes.
This walk helped dannewton burn 176.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Today my Dad has gone to watch a football match with my brother, and i was 'volunteered' to look after the dog. To be fair, Lola the is lovely, so its not much of a chore lol!
The 'chore' was talking her for a walk in the afternoon, with Storm Darragh still in progress. Most of the eind has died down, but its still very, very wet! I put it off as long as i could, but the rain showed no sign of stopping and it was going to be getting dark soon.
I eventually headed out to brave the elements, and used the opportunity to take Lola for a walk around a newly built housing estate. I had noticed that a couple of local runners had run around here, and thought it might be worth checking it out for myself.
I would have taken pictures, but it was so wet that I elected to leave my phone at home
It looked to be very quiet, with a path going down some streets on one side, and the a path running down the edge of a field on the other side of the little loop. I usually run down the bypass, so doing a couple if loops around the houses here would make a change, particularly as im still keeping the distances short due to the injury.
Anyway, after 25 minutes of getting soaked, i arrived back home. Fortunately the heating has just turned on, so i can try to get everything dry before i walk back home later.
Other than the soggy walk, its been a nice and relaxing afternoon. The football game finished 2-2, but my dad won't be impressed as Brightongave away a 2-0 lead in the last 5 minutes, oops!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
