Description from Strava: A shorter post today, matches the shorter run I guess!

I was in half a mind to do parkrun this morning, but was late to bed last night, and I just didn't fancy getting out of bed at 7am this morning.

I have been on holiday, so I think I'm allowed some to relax

And to be fair, I am a 'night owl' so when I don't have to stick to a (work) routine, my body clock gravitates towards 2am bedtimes and getting up at 8am (which isn't really conducive to early morning runs.

Nevermind eh?... I'll be back to work next week, so will keep a more normal pattern.

Although I didn't run this morning, and was quite happy to be lazy today, I still wanted to tick a run off. It was just a short and easy effort along the bypass, but that counts. And of course I wore my new shoes and socks that I got for my birthday yesterday.

I've quickly gone through my required stretches as part of the cool down and now its time for a quick shower, and then I'll be heading round to visit Dad. We are going to be having a proper Indian takeaway tonight, and its been ages since I've had a proper takeaway!

In fact, the last one might actually have been for my birthday last year haha!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

Jazzy footwear! I am not one for staying up late and like to run in the morning. At this time of year it tends to work out better anyway.

Enjoy your runs and I hope the takeaway was good. I tend to end up stuffed when we get an Indian. That may partly be the naans.

I do prefer to get up early, but my body clock just seems to slip later and later if I don't keep an eye on it

The takeaway was super tasty, and I definitely overdid it as expected... but then again it is a very rare treat, so I think can kinda justify it!
