Lunch Run - first run after testing positive for covid 3 days ago
dannewton just finished a 6.36km run, that lasted for 38 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 488.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Tested positive on friday, felt absolutely awful on friday and saturday with all the expected flu symptoms. Felt freezing cold, ached all over, tired, headache, full of snot etc etc.
Managed a couple of walks each day for fresh air, but other than that i was slumped on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. On sunday lunchtime, i noticed i didn't feel quite so awful... so hopeful i was begining to get better. Last night i managed to get a full 8 ours finally, and this morning i appear to be back to normal, other than having to blow my nose occasionally.
Good enough in fact that i decided to try a little run today. It was only 6km and slow, but i just wanted to get out and get somthing done. Other than having to stop and blow my nose a couple of times i felt fine.
i don't wanna jinx it, but i think im pretty much recovered? I though it would have taken longer than this to beat it, but im not complaining!
I'll be sure to take it easy the rest of today, and for my next couple of runs i'll be keeping it short and easy to make sure i am definitely in the clear.

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

Hmm
Are you sure you’re pretty much recovered or you need some more rest?
I think you should rest a few more days
I appreciate the concern... I do think I'm pretty in tune with how my body feels, and I feel pretty good to be fair. If I wasn't sure then I'd totally be taking more time to rest, but for now I guess I feel ok
Keep going, you're smashing your training at the moment and getting stronger every day.

It's good that you recovered quickly. I've had it a couple of times and it can be bad. Your system should be strong from all this running and that could help.
Its very variable, I know that one... I had it for the best part of 3 days and am now mostly ok, my partner had it 6 days, and is taking longer to get back to normal. We also had different symptoms, I had mostly cold symptoms, whereas she developed a nasty cough
I'm sure the running and general fitness helps!
This is the solution to avoid this disease that a person will have to do more activities to stay fresh and the way the weather in the city of today is good, it will give you peace.
