Afternoon Run - 10km

This run helped dannewton burn 808.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Just a quick post today... I've mentioned my training being hit and miss over the past 4 weeks, and while I tried to maintain it, unfortunately life got in the way and I had to get some stuff sorted.
That all managed to mostly be resolved over the recent weekend, and while it is still going to take awhile to process it, I'm now past the worst of it, and now eager to get back to a more normal routine
The fact that it has been super busy at work hasn't really helped either, but now that we are starting the second week of January, that too is starting to ease back and become more manageable. Of the last 3 weeks I've finished late every single day...
...today however by a miracle we were 'allowed' to leave at 4pm if we wanted as all the required work had been completed (and we all immediately took that opportunity!)
This meant I was able to get outside and enjoy some of the sunshine we've been having, it was lovely out there today!
The run itself was easy, but as I've decreased my training significantly over the past 3 weeks due to external pressures, I think I need to err on the side of caution an ease myself back into it. So I aimed for a gentle 10k for just over an hour or so.
I did receive these 2 notifications from my watch after I finished:
Showing that my estimated VO2 max score had decreased, but I wasn't bothered, and I wasn't surprised either to be honest. even without these screens, I can tell myself that I feel like I've lost some fitness recently. Everything feels just a little slower, a little heavier.
Hopefully I've got this in time, and with some new found enthusiasm and energy I can back in to full swing in no time :-)

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
