dannewton just finished a 10.28km run, that lasted for 64 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 787.0 calories.

Description from Strava: More gentle easy running... legs still feel a little tired, but only a little. Could have pushed a little harder if i had wanted, but decided it wasn't worth the risk of picking up a potential injury.

The run was split into 2 halves, first was a loop round the village, and then i nipped out onto the bypass to eak out just over 10km. I don't really want to be going much further than that at the moment...

Now to grab a quick bite to eat (a birdseye chicken thing, chips and beans if you want to be nosey...) and then I'll be popping to visit family for a bit this evening. Its been a difficult time recently, so a bit of company will do us all a world of good.

Tomorrow will be an even shorter, easy run... and then i can look forward to a 'longish' long run on Saturday... I'm not sure where i might be going yet, but it wont be anywhere near as far as last weekend haha!'

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

Yep, always best to err on the side of caution, cutting back on training, or even missing a week or two is better than pushing to hard and making things worse

I think you do really well on your training. I need to ramp mine up a bit, but it may still only be half what you do. I have missed parkrun a bit lately and done less training runs. I guess your long run affected the average a bit.

Thank you. Its taken a while to find a routine that fits my other commitments etc... and it can be hard to find the right balance of slow and easy, speedwork, and the obligatory long run.

The most recent addition has been the strength and conditioning which I will be returning to next week as part of a return to a more 'normal' week of training.

I've actually had a couple of easier weeks recently which has lowered my average weekly distance, I'm usually around 75-80km per week.

If you're looking to ramp up training, then finding time to squeeze in another session (from 3 - 4), might help... even if it's just another easy 5km

Yes, an extra session would help. I just have to fit it around other things.

Sorry about your tired legs
I hope you take a day rest or even two so that you can come back stronger
How about that?
