With the start of the big three East Asian leagues, we return to the preview format of what's to come. Three selected matches to which we will pay special attention.

KLeague 1, South Korea. Jeonju World Cup Stadium

The first match of our particular hattrick takes us to the South Korean peninsula.

Jeonbuk, a team that struggled last season, started the 2025 season with a victory in Gustavo Poyet's debut by coming from behind against the army team. A second win would give a major boost to the team that, not so long ago, dominated South Korean football.

Facing them we have Gwangju, the only South Korean club to remain in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League. Pohang Steelers faded at the end and Ulsan HD have not even made an appearance this season with a woeful performance.

They started the season with a goalless draw against Suwon.

Chinese Super League. SAIC Motor Pudong Arena

Unequal match that will close the first matchday in the Chinese Superleague. Port have just qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League despite losing 0-2 against Marinos thanks to an unusual occurrence.

Despite losing, the withdrawal of Shandong Taishan caused the cancellation of their matches, taking three points from Pohang Steelers and leaving the Port team as eighth classified. China and Asia.

Shenzhen will be looking to avoid last season's struggles. The team escaped relegation thanks to a 2-1 win over relegated Nantong Zhiyun last time out.

The veteran Edu García, fourth season at the club and former Real Zaragoza, will once again be the guiding light of the team.

JLeague. Toyota Stadium

We close in Japan but with the first of the three matches in terms of the date on which it is played.

Tomorrow at 06:00 am, Spanish time, we will have this interesting duel between one of the clubs that seems to be yes and always is no and the nouveau riche of Japanese football.

Nagoya lost 4-0 against Kawasaki Frontale in the debut of this season and Vissel signed a goalless draw against another of the greats of this Jleague: Urawa Reds.
