Does the riverside trail have a bad past?

Whaddup. I like your photo layout today, sir. Seeing your before and after in the same filter helps us glasses wearers out a lot.

Thanks for the ping @dandays, but this dude needs to talk with @otherbrandt, not me ;)

Hi. Is this the part where I set someone's barn on fire?

Hey buddy @dandays ..The 'Brigantine River Trail' is a 2km long trail, entering from the area I frequent (around the local wetlands) - venturing much deeper into the bush. When a cyclist (brutally stabbed) was found (some years back), the jogger who spotted him (shortly before his passing).. reportedly ran up to 'Brigantine' road. The name of the trail and proximity implies a overall connection between the areas. It's remoteness and that connection freak me out as a result!

Lol.. whoever's is a good mate of @dandays ..sounds like a potentially cool mate to me, and as a result would be dope to make his/her acquaintance.

Oh yes.. glad you like the new layout. I kinda like the idea of retaining a black & white element, but at the same time.. the before and after images were freaking out my eyes too lmao.

I like it. B&w to color or vice versa usually works well. Who'da thunk picturing garbage needs to be in color for the full effect...

Brandt's been away for awhile. We all take breaks occasionally, my longest was 7 months. He and I have shared meals together in and around the Appalachian Mountains. One of the few virtual strangers I've had the pleasure of hanging out with in real life and one of the few people who follows me I consider a friend in real life.

And funny as fuck too! I don't hang out with boring mufukers. = }

Had to do an internet search for the 'Appalachian Mountains' - wow, looks incredible! Did either of you ever do any of the trails? I reckon there must be some legendary ones out there! All this talk of food has made me hungry lmao..

He and I barely brushed one trail out at Fort Dickerson Quarry.

It was usually timing that fucked with us or we'd just get into talking and then be so interested in each other time flies and the day is over.

Did that twice.

That looks wild! When you say "barely brushed one trail" ..completely understandable, after seeing this!

I have ventured many of them solo. Filmed a couple downhill mountain bike videos on them actually, if you're interested. They call this part of the world the "mountain bike Mecca."

He's a crazy outdoor adventure marathon guy who like lives and survives for months at a time in the middle of nowhere until eventually finding the finish line or however it works. So, individually, yeah, we've spelunked many of them. Together, however, unfortunately none.

One dude on here said something to the affect, you guys at a table together? I would've loved to be a fly on the wall for that conversation. Still one of the nicest things anyone's said to me on here.

Yeah.. would be dope to check out the vids. You got them uploaded somewhere?

I used to do long distance running myself. Was trying to work up to a marathon for a while, but fell short before injuring my knee (worked up to 36km). Still managed to run a couple of half marathons, though. One of the best things I ever did!

There's some incredible caving systems right where I am. I ventured into a hectic one with some mates many years ago and that was the end of my spelunking sporting career. I don't function well is such confined spaces (and they were stupidly confined). I thought I'd never make it out! when I saw the surface again, yeah.. that was me giving up on that sport. I'm also too tall for that imo (1.93m).. and plain terrified now to be frank haha.

I did a couple. This is filmed at that same Fort Dickerson actually. Gorgeous scenery. They both are. I did that one with a helmet cam, though, such a pain in the ass to edit.

This is a different track. Used a body cam that time, way easier edits and the view is nicer.

Enjoy.

Not sure how that happened. I copy pasted directly from 3speak. Weird.

Thought maybe it was your connection but mine's having a tough time with them too.

Hey buddy.. I just couldn't give up on seeing my mate @dandays downhill adventure! Anyway, I figured out what the problem with the links was. They were both missing an "=" between "v" & "dandays".

That looks so cool! Scary, but cool! I'd imagine that one could come 'short' quite hecticly. The suspension system must be incredible. Not sure which was harder. The one with the narrow path and trees everywhere seemed extra intense! Digged the scenery in the other, though.

So, we're equal now? = }

I'm the least tech savvy guy in this conversation but that's cool you figured out how to make it work. Even cooler you enjoyed them.

That bike, Fuji Aric One.1, rode like a Cadillac.
