It is games like this one that makes me remember my undying love for soccer. I had an absolute monster of a first half in this online multiplayer game. My poor opponent never stood a chance. I just kept pounding the ball down into his defense and continued to make perfect plays.
The first half of this game is where all of the excitement awaits your viewing. I kid you not when I say my Barcelona squad made my opponent's Manchester United look like a U-15 club. If this video doesn't make you want to play this FREE game, then you probably will never have the desire to download it.

Lol I thought you meant United conceding 4 in the first half against Liverpool when I read that title.
Ouch, that would hurt. Although they did end up breaking down defensively. Luckily it was me that achieved offensive success.
If there is one thing I remember about football games that I have played in the past, and I hope they sorted this out, was that there was a tremendous difference between the difficulty settings. It's been a while since I played one because sports games aren't really my cuppa but i recall on "easy" I would score double-digits but on "normal" I would struggle to score at all. I suppose in that regard the normal setting would be a bit more realistic.
At least in your situation it was against another human. Is this ranked so that newbies get matched up with other newbies or is it just the luck of the draw?
The cpu difficulty levels always seemed that way to me too. With this game I can't even figure out how to change the cpu difficulty or even how quickly the match time expends.
This match was against a real person, but I have no clue how the game matches us up. As of right now, it doesn't give you very many customization options or information as to what exactly is occurring during matchmaking.
