Let's discuss the NBA rule changes for the 2023-24 season
Some positive changes for NBA rules 🏀 ✅
The NBA started back in 1946. Since then the game has evolved a lot, it's nearly unrecognizable now. Most changes have been for the better, but there have been some bad rules implemented as well.
This offseason there were a few new adjustments made to the rules of an NBA game. I am pleased to announce that both of the two new rules seem very positive to me, things that needed to change in an ever-evolving league.
In today's video, I will be discussing these two new changes and why I think this is a great move for the NBA.
Rule Change #1
This one was absolutely necessary seeing as how bad flopping has gotten in the league. NBA was starting to look like World Cup Soccer in terms of how much flopping there was. Things should change next season now that there is an in-game punishment for that action.
Rule Change #2
In 2019-20 the NBA introduced the coaches challenge. It has been hugely beneficial and requires a lot of tactics to choose when to actually challenge. There was one major issue with the rule these last few years though. Now you will not be penalized when making a successful challenge. No team will ever have more than two coaches' challenges in one game, but the adjustment to the original rule will be something that all coaches rejoice about.
Refs don't make the rules, they enforce them
It's starting to look like referees are just going to continue to obtain new powers that allow them to alter the game in big ways. Some might say they are overpowered. It will be hard to say for sure until this next season starts and we begin to see how these two new rules change the way NBA games are played.
Comment below with any thoughts you have about theses new NBA rules. As I said, I support both changes and look forward to the upcoming season.

Amigo y que opina usted de la modalidad del VAR aplicado a la NBA?
Ralentiza un poco el juego, pero en general creo que es beneficioso.
Opino similar, tanks you.

La NBA implementará el VAR semiautomático a partir de esta temporada que viene.
Flop or deceptive act has become common in sports.
That's really great for you.
agree with you that the two new rules you mentioned are positive changes for NBA rules.
The first rule, which penalizes flopping, is long overdue. Flopping has become a major problem in the NBA, and it's been frustrating for fans to watch players exaggerate contact in order to draw fouls. The new rule should help to reduce flopping and make the game more honest.
The second rule, which eliminates the penalty for a successful coaches' challenge, is also a good change. The old rule made it too risky for coaches to challenge calls, because they would lose a timeout if they were unsuccessful. The new rule should encourage coaches to challenge more calls, which will help to get the calls right.
I think these two new rules are a step in the right direction for the NBA. They should help to make the game more fair and exciting for fans.
Back when I played, if you flopped you'd pay dearly during one of the future plays. Meaning you'd be fouled very hard to make a point.
It's interesting how LeBron is also among the floppers. Let's hope he and his fellow floppers change with the new rules.
I think this is also the type of nonessential foul that made football leagues resort to using VAR to cross-check any foul play.
LeBron was just doing everything he could to be the best. He say a loophole with flopping and his status in the league, and he capitalized. He will have to adjust and stop complaining now that the flopping will be penalized.
It's not bad to explore loopholes.
I bet this necessary change would not have been made if they didn't explore the loopholes and blind spots in the game.
These changes will make the games more interesting, competitive, and fair.
This helps me understand this game more and more :D
💪😁😎🤙 WHOA! that's one jacked ref!!
yes, just say NO to flopping!
I CHALLENGE.
He swole. The dragon ball gave him all the power he will ever need to rule the league with authority.

The way you have described these changes, I'm sure they will benefits the game for sure.
