Hive Marketing: Sport Sponsorhip #1
One of the most effective ways to promote a brand is through sport.
Of course, in the world of sport there are sports that attract more people, but they are also much more expensive.
In Europe, the king sport is football, but the cost to try to put a brand in the first division and in a team that participates in European competitions is extremely expensive.
Due to the fact that I have several contacts with handball clubs in Portugal and here there is no great branding of crypto projects, in December 2022 I approached @valueplan through @guiltyparties with a project to promote Hive here in Portugal and also in some way in other countries from Europe.
The club with which we signed this sponsorship is Associação Atlética de Águas Santas.
Who is the Associação Atlética de Águas Santas?
Associação Atlética de Águas Santas, initially called Associação Académica de Águas Santas, was founded in 1962.
In 1999 the senior team reaches the first division it never left, currently making 24 consecutive seasons in the highest national division.

It is a club with a lot of history in national handball and that has evolved to be present in the Europa League, having this season guaranteed a place for the European League play-offs.
What does this branding project consist of?
This branding project consists of sponsoring a sports season from August 1, 2023 to July 31, 2024.
With this sponsorship, Hive will be entitled to the following spaces to promote:
- Advertising signs in the club arena;
- Advertising in the “leads” in all European League matches;
- Advertising on television broadcasts that may be made of European League matches;
- Advertising on senior team heating equipment;
- Advertising on Senior team game equipment;
- Advertising on the club's social media;
- Advertising in online transmissions of club matches.
Current state
We have completed work on the design of the club's equipment.
As we can see, we managed to place Hive in 3 different spots on the kits.
The next tasks are to talk to the club so that our logo starts appearing in social media publications, and we also work on the design for the advertising board that will be fixed on the arena floor.
I hope this project helps to spread Hive to many more people here in Portugal and also in other European countries with a presence in the Europa League.
Sports / athlete sponsorship is a great way to get the word out. I recently googled a brand because I saw it on Djokovic's sleeve during Wimbledon.
That is true due to that I thought on this.
Already happened the same to me.
