Spiders, the bane of arachnaphobes everywhere, and just in time for Halloween but what does this particular arachnid boast? Well like many it boasts toxins (starting at lvl 4). A glass cannon with 2 ranged attack, 2 hp, and 2 speed for 3 mana cost at lvl 1, the haunted spider is a fearsome card that every player has in their spellbook.
Strategy and Placement
In the battle located here I placed haunted spider towards the back in position 5. Usually haunted spider will be in any position aside from position 1, ideally located near other creatures that will take damage before our fragile arachnid friend. In this case I used a creature that attracted fire (Dark Ha' On) while my opponent utilized Shield Bearer to accomplish the same. All of our blast damage was directed to position 1 and secondary damage to position 2.
After one round's worth of damage Harklaw remains undamaged due to armor plating, whereas Silvershield Knight is much more damaged. Haunted Spider is providing excellent damage for only costing 3 (even without venom chance). Chanseus regenerates the enemy lineup's health in position 2, but this is not enough. Silver Shield Knight is revived BEFORE the Shieldbearer dies. Causing Shield Bearer to fall more easily.
After the position 1 and 2 tank fall for the enemy, the enemy is unable to get past my two creatures with armor plating in position 1 and 2 reducing blast damage to hardly a scratch. It should be noted that this reduced damage and eventual victory was made possible by both Harklaw and Contessa's debuffs and the fact that NO MAGIC could be played due to the ruleset.
The enemy is quickly dispatched as they cannot deal any damage to the backline OR the frontline due to not having high enough damage output after their sustained casualities. Dark Ha'Ons valiant sacrifice leads to victory.
Talking Tidbits
Overall Haunted Spider is an excellent glass cannon, and is a default inside of everyone's spellbooks. One of the Death Splinter's long time staple cards, it will likely see play for a long time to come. It's weaknesses being opportunity or snipe (when unanticipated). A good card in many lineups, and always a consideration even in a champion spellbook.

Awesome you are also doing a delegation here. That said, no need to include me for it.
Although I am not the biggest fan of battle posts, you have really stood out with your creative approach: cool unique cover image and funny title. That caught my attention.
That's great! Keep up the good work!

What's a glass cannon? Thanks for the giveaway. @squishna
A glass cannon is a powerful card that can't take a beating but can do a lot of damage. Much like a cannon made out of glass. Welcome to the giveaway and goodluck.
