Pizza Brawl Highlights 3: Gladius Cards Unleashed

In this brawl highlight PIZZA 2 was able to utilize gladiator cards with the bloodlust ability (when a card with this ability delivers a killing blow it gains 1 in every stat). The Barracks Or Bust Donation Drive yielded a lvl 2 barracks for all guild members. In the fight located here I was able to use my life splinter gladiator named Captain Katie. Her snipe ability and the fact she has 3 magic damage on a sniper character really allowed for sizable bursts of magical damage to the backline AND frontline.

I placed her in position 2 because her robust health and magic type damage would allow her to be able to handle both tanking and damage dealing. In this case due to the ADDED armor statistic bloodlust was granted another stat to plus 1, a hefty combination. Captain Katie is unable to kill anything while sniping from 2nd position but in position 1 she begins taking down enemies turn by turn. Bloodlust making her tankier as she goes, and thanks to Shield Bearer attracting all enemy aggression (with taunt) the enemy doesn't kill truthspeaker in time to remove the teamwide armor buff she provides. Taking down 1 enemy per turn until the end of battle in round 4. Lone boatman with his snipe assisted in "peppering" the backline before enemies moved forward to be barraged by Captain Katie.

This is a brutal example of how bloodlust can be a very lethal ability for the mid and late game. Captain Katie is just one of many gladiator cards. Each of my fights below feature one of these powerful champions (including Captain Katie).

In this case the implementation of one gladiator card turned the tide of battle immensely, these new gladius cards are not to be underestimated in the brawl arena.
