Vinesh Phogat's Olympic Dream Was Broken Because of Weight Problem🤼‍♀️

Greetings,
Vinesh Phogat's dream of winning an Olympic gold medal was crushed this time, and it all came down to her weight being just 100 grams over the limit. This news broke the hearts of all her fans and sports enthusiasts. Since I watched the film "Dangal," I became interested in wrestling and started following the Olympics. Hearing this news made me very sad.

Crores of Indians were hoping that Vinesh, India's top female wrestler, would bring home the gold on Wednesday. But instead, she was desperately trying to shed weight—jumping rope, cycling, and even taking sauna baths. They took her blood to check, but as time passed, she stopped sweating and became completely dehydrated. Her weight got stuck at 50.1 kg, which caused panic among her physio and coach. They even cut her hair and altered her clothes to try and reduce weight, but pushing any further could have put her life at risk. Unfortunately, fate and the rules played a cruel trick, and because of those extra 100 grams, not only the gold but even the silver slipped away.

Vinesh, who usually competes in the 53 kg weight category, had to drop down to 50 kg because Antim Panghal qualified in her usual category. Despite these challenges, she made a remarkable run in Paris by defeating the world’s number one and reigning Olympic champion, Japan’s Yui Susaki, in the first round, and then Ukraine’s Oksana Livach in the quarter-finals. Vinesh continued her impressive performance by beating Cuba’s Gajman in the semi-finals, securing her place in the final and becoming the first Indian female wrestler to reach an Olympic final.
Vinesh, disheartened by the loss, announced her retirement.
