Free-diving Is An Amazing Sport!

A seriously interesting post oozing quality from @jobiker where he discusses the sport of free diving. This takes years to develop and perfect as this is all about breathing techniques. I presume many of you know about the famed pearl divers from Japan who are renown for their expertise in the art of free diving. The Big Blue was a film from 1988 which was all about free diving and is well worth the watch. There is something about crystal clear waters and the sheer beauty that lies underneath the surface and look forward to many more posts from @jobiker. If he is not riding his bike across Thailand then he is taking a break under the sea. These are real life experiences he is discussing and what makes his posts stand out for me in general.

What Caused Phil Neville to Call Brother Gary an Idiot?

@wolfgangsport seems to start up a new series every week and always has something to write about. This series regarding brothers in football is great as it shows how different everyone is regarding talent ,success and luck. This episode is about the Neville brothers and highlighting what we already knew Gary being a village idiot. Most of you know him from his punditry on Sky Sports these days as since retiring he failed at managing a Spanish side and this is what he was left with. He is trying his hand at politics which would suit him fine as he is a total clown. Imagine these people if they had no football in their lives what would thy honestly be doing? Another great post by @wolfgangsport and well worth a follow.

Rumors of Stone Cold Steve Austin returning to WWE

@sports.guy55 makes a welcome return this week with his post regarding the old legends of WWE returning to help prop the sport up. This is not something I have ever followed but very interesting to hear no new names are coming through. The sport as we know it would be dead in the next decade unless some serious actors/wrestlers appear on the scene. You can only mile these legends for so long before they are too old to perform. I enjoy @sports.guy55 posts mainly for the subject matter that he chooses to highlight. Never one to keep quiet and just accept which always makes for an interesting read.

Beckham's refrigerator, Ronaldo's haircuts, bathroom selfies... the strangest rituals of players

@dest331 shows us the other side of certain football stars in this post with their strange rituals and superstitions. These normally come about when they have done something and after success just keep repeating whatever they did before hand. Ronaldo loving himself to death wouldn't come as a shock changing his hairstyle at half time as most players wouldn't be thinking of hair styles. I think this kind of behavior highlights more about how selfish and shallow certain personalities really are. There are so many freaky things sports people do due to a lack of self confidence as this is what this is about. One player used to have to make sure all the toilet seats were down before he went out to play which is seriously nuts and not normal.

Monday Sports Talk Social Quiz #6 - Win 100k SPORTS + 500k SPORTS delegation

Lastly but definitely not leastly we have the regular Monday Sports Quiz by @talesfrmthecrypt. Not blowing smoke but this is the classiest most thought out quiz I have seen in years and deserves more recognition. Somehow we have to get this post trending as this has serious legs to go viral once per week. The time and effort that goes into this post along with thinking up decent questions is not simple and @talesfrmthecrypt needs to be commended for his efforts. Sometimes it is something this simple that can put a tribe on the map and everyone should be pushing his posts on twitter every Monday. I know I will be doing exactly that this Monday and challenge everyone else to get this out there.

Free diving is not that much discussed most often, but I think, there are a lot of things to learn from the sport --just you mentioned, breathing exercises and the art of keeping the body afloat with the water.

Thanks for this weeks curation showcases, couple of highly interesting form of sports and write on display.

But among those, I would prefer the first one, free diving and credit goes to jobiker..
:)
