Let's Play Copperleaf (Ernie Els Signature)

Hey everyone, the main reason we play golf is for the views right?? Well this is certainly so for this incredible course copperleaf in midrand South Africa another epic Ernie Els signature golf course.

We paid R395 for a round of golf here with a golf cart which really isn't a bad price. Folks are battling financially including the golf courses, so they are all lowering their fees and having epic weekly specials.

My German mate very proud of his golf ending off with a not so tidy 110. I ended the day strong and revived after a lovely day in the Windy winter sun (strange for this time of year).

The wind was a real challenge the first few holes, reminded me of coastal conditions and then it warmed up and improved, Greatly, golf I'd always fun though, just not in the rain, don't play golf in the rain, I learned this lesson last year at San Lameer.

The greens were fast real fast and hard but very nice for a winter course. Fairways also very dry and fast which lends itself to fantastic bump and run for days on well hit drives.

A wonderful day was had by all as we headed off to the clubhouse with a decent enough 96 carded albeit treacherous windy conditions. Time to warm up Gauteng winters are no fun when the wind blows.
