Very nice post my friend. I miss both my parents. They both are with Elohim. I lost my mother 23 years ago, and my dad 5 years ago. I think of them everyday. I like to cook the foods my mother used to cook for me growing up in Portugal, but I can't match the same. But close, and when I eat it takes me back to portugal when I had my whole family with me. Today, I have new family both my wife and I created. Well, Elohim created, we just did the fun part of creation lol.
I wish I still had both my parent with me, but you can't always get what you want, so all I can say to my dear parents is RIP I am almost there, and I can't wait to see you both including my grandmother, my mother, mother. She raised me as both my parents were enslaved to work.
That was the most beautiful comment I seen brother I am sorry for your loss I cannot imagine how it feels to lose both parents but I guess everyone will one day.
Everything you said is similar to what I'm trying to do as well I try to follow her recipe but it just doesn't taste the same but an old friend told me that it will never be the same because mothers touch is full of love where we do not have it make sense to me.
We can create the same dish but the one ingredient we will not have is the hands of love other than that we can recreate the dish.
I'm happy to know you have your own family now I'm do not have my own but I am pursuing it as we speak hopefully I will find a good wife to spend my life with we will see how the future holds.
