Sorare.com Week 8 | Rare Cap240 Threshold Reached! (+52$ Earnings)
This was another great week for me in Sorare reaching the Rare Cap240 Threshold for the 3rd time in 8 weeks which outperformed my expectation since I always kept my budget to an absolute minimum. This gives me an extra 50$ which I will re-invest in more players to widen my line-up options.
Something I learned last week is that instead of older cards each year losing 5% bonus, they actually only lose this once making the oldest cards way more valuable than I had in mind since their level can be maxed out for still a solid bonus %. It also makes me question the sustainability of the entire platform even more.
Rare Cap 240 Team
Koita who I managed to pick up for just 32.62€ 4 months ago was the sensation on the weekend with 3 goals in 7 minutes now making him the top striker in the league. He's a sure starter for Stvv who are one of the revelations this season and he also is set to take Free Kicks & Penalties. This got his value up to 158€ and his 15-week average score has been rising. If he continues his good streak I will have to sell him and take some profit even though he's one of my favorite players in the league to watch. Onuachu also scored again for Trabsonspor and also gave an assist. Things clearly got harder with the adjusted threshold to 280 points while bonusus count.
This week 4465 players reached the threshold getting 50$ while last week with the previous system it was 4705. The difference is small right now and its inevitable for more adjustments to be introduced to get this number down to make everything more sustainable.

Week 9 Rare Cap 240 Team
Both Koita & Watanabe are starting to get more expensive in points used. Watanabe also played every match so far and I would not be surprised if he got some rest in one of the upcoming matches. Since Reynolds is a sure starter for Westerlo also with a higher bonus % at a lower cost, I'm opting to put him in the team now. Alzate is one of those players that should stand out for Standard and he has the ball a lot which generally makes him a player that has good scores. 2 matches ago he took a 2nd yellow which had him out of the team before and it also lowered his overall score. He's also the player I see having the highest probability of a good score so I made him captain.
I still might make a change as there are 2 days left until the deadline to submit.

I failed again to reach the Cap240 since I took a risk taking a defender purely based on his average scoring playing each week who turned out to be suspended. Fadera also didn't play for Genk for some reason. I did however manage to finish 310th in the Cap220 League thanks to Koita and Sandra who put up excellent scores.

I received a 23-year old defender who plays in Italy who is a starter in his team and goes for 2.54€. It still is a card from 2022-2023 season so the 5% bonus will be lost soon.

For some reason the Cap220 seems to be not available which was one of the leagues I aimed to do well in. Most likely I will still make some changes in these teams.
I still might do some changes depending on potential injuries or news from the Thursday matches.

My main keeper just got injured BUT luckily I bought the 2nd keeper as insurance at beginning of the season, so I am still able to submit a cap 240 rare team with a playing GK. Do you have the backup for Warleson?
It's something I have on my to do list, first up is another striker and likely take some profit either on Onuachu or Koita (or reach the threshold a couple more times to get funds that way)
The goal from here on out is to continue and grow without putting extra money in.
