Playing Free2Play Rivals:
The rivals game mode is actually a lot of fun and real prizes can be won there without the need for an investment. This is potentially great for onboarding but it's quite inevitable that it will put more pressure on the economy as everyone can come in and just extract some value from the ecosystem.
Right now, everybody is just playing with free common cards they can choose from and you mostly get matched up with players the have equal Limited/Rare cards in their lineup. I assume in the near future this will be changed in a way where the higher leagues will only have players with actual NFT cards so it is impossible for free2play players to reach there.

I mainly buy goalkeepers as a time when there is high uncertainty to pick them up 'cheap' in the hope for the price to increase once they do become a starter. I expect Warleson to stay at Cercle as their 1st goalkeeper and possibly play in Europe. Delanghe is the Cercle Brugge Backup so he will get a chance in case Warleson would leave or get injured. De Wolf has a chance to be promoted with Zulte-Waregem but they failed and he stays in 2nd division which I now have a team to cheer for. Morris should stay the 1st goalkeeper in Union even though it was him who cost they the title with a couple bad performances at the start of the playoffs. Union who will play in Europe bought Chamberre from Genk who will rival him. If Morris performs well and goes up in price, I might swap him for another goalkeeper also because he's quite old already. Schmidt has to rival Roef as 1st goalkeeper of AA Gent who also play European Football and with a new coach I would not be surprised if he won that race. Defourny who relegated with RWDM where he became 2nd goalkeeper I managed tp pick up for 5€ and he was transferred to Charleroi where he might become the 1st choice after Koffi left. Pirard was the 1st goalkeeper of Kortrijk who managed to stay in the league and Vandenberge is 2nd goalkeeper in Kortrijk. However, it's not 100% sure that either of them will be 1st choice next season. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the goalkeepers I have and the prices I paid for them hoping at least 3 will be starters next season.
Defenders
Watanabe remains my best and most reliable defenders playing nearly every minute for AA Gent last season and having a 62 average score in the last 15 matches. Decostere I bought cheap way back in the hope for him to play but he's in 2nd division now. Nurnio tends to score well when he plays but goes from one injury into another. Reynolds I have double as I needed a cheap New season defenders once. He's got the potential to be great but disappointed along with Westerlo as a team last season. He potentially will be transferred and I might look to sell him in case his value ever goes up a lot. Meijer had some injury problems and has to fight for his place with De Cuyper in Club Brugge. I'm hoping he gets fit again and either makes a transfer of de Cuyper makes a transfer so he's a sure starter. Sardella was one of the revelations last season in Anderlecht but switched really strong matches with poor performances at times. He's still young so I see how things will go for him. It's not impossible to see him as a starter for Anderlecht who also play in Europe. Bayram showed to have the potential to be one of the better defenders in Belgium and got the interest from some of the top teams. It's highly uncertain where he will play next season.Pletinckx is one of those players when he's fit that is first on the player sheet and he's reliable in his performance and I don't see it as unthinkable for him to one day play for one of the top teams. Dewaele was transferred to Westerlo where he could have a starting place. Silva is one of the stronger central defenders of Kortrijk who managed to stay in the league.

Midfielders
Ashimeru at the end of the season after recovering from another injury got a starting place again in Anderlecht and performed really well. He likely will be transferred and I hope for him to find a team where he can start and do well. Alzate was on loan to Standard where he continued to stand out as one of the better players. He's a free agent now and should find a good team to play for, I'm hoping one of the Belgian top teams picks him up but I doubt that will be the case. Maertens has a difficult season because of having an issue with an eye nerve which by now has been fixed. I expect him to be one of the real leaders with regular assists and goals for OHL next season. Konaté didn't have a starting place in Mechelen and I don't expect him to be a sure starter next season. Samoise was a sure starter for Gent but with the coach change I'm not so sure about this for the next season. Heymans was not used properly by Mazzu and often started on the bench. He is actually a striker and each match he gets his chances. Under the new coach he also seems to be a sure starter so I expect a good 2024-2025 season for him. Bonsu Baah is one of the young talents for Genk who now is going into his 2nd season under a new coach. So possibly he could be a revelation. Balikwisha has the potential to be a good player for Standard but I wouldn't bet on him right now. Kortajarena is one of the rare reward cards I managed to get last season and I haven't gotten to the point where I sold him even though I probably should. Verschaeren I managed to pick up for 15€ during an injury and he should be a starter performing good for Anderlecht while he's still pretty young. Madsen is the player you have to pick first as captain for Rivals. He's one of those midfielders that reliably puts up good points week after week. Kadri is the same and he likely will make a transfer to a better team. De Neve is one of those players that potentially could have a lot of assists if the strikers have a better finishing rate.

Attackers
Onuachu has been one of the players I bought in anticipation for a return to Genk but he went to Trabsonspor where he did really well and he helped me reach many Cap240 Thresholds. I'm not quite sure at the moment where he will play next season. I'm not quite ready to let him go for the current price at the risk that he doesn't do as well in a new team and the value totally tanks. Ohio remains one of the young talents who was loaned out but was unable to claim a starting spot. He's still young and I hope at some point he has a break out season. Frigan as an international for Young Croatia didn't manage to break through in Westerlo despite the very high transfer price. Similar to Ohio I hope the season comes where he breaks through. Jutgla has really good stats for Club Brugge but remains a player that is never really sure to start and I don't expect this to change next season. Fadera for me is one of the players that has the potential to be a very high and reliable point scorer if he has a coach that fields him with confidence. Vasquez remains a good players to come in and often did well scoring goals that way last season. I don't see him becoming the first choice anytime soon for Anderlecht though. Ambrose had an injury very early in the season and came back at the end with some excellent performances helping Kortrijk to stay in the league. I do expect him to be a starter for Kortrijk next season. Biron relegated with RWDM but he is on the radar of multiple 1st division teams. Schrijvers is actually a midfielder who is able to keep the ball so he tends to get good points even without scoring a goal unlike most centrum strikers who without scoring at best get 40-45 points. Angulo is my latest speculative buy as a young striker for Anderlecht who last season got promoted from the yought team to the 1st team getting minutes. He's one of the players the fans could grow to love and I hope his minutes increase this season.

This puts the total purchase value of these cards at 1613€ which is before the 898€ of earnings I did get last season. Right now my Rare Card Collection is worth 807€ roughly which leans there was an overall profit of just 92€ which doesn't include the 200€ in ETH funds I still have which partially come from Limited cards.

Conclusion
I'm still having a ton of fun with Sorare and I'm highly looking forward to next season even though I don't anticipate making much earnings with this game. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game an not an investment.
