Season 2023-2024 Final Betting Results

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The season ended yesterday with one final match between Genk and Gent. I didn't manage to make any profit on that one but instead lost 0.469 units simply being on the wrong side which happens. Overall I have mixed feelings as I'm proud to make it into another profitable season after having been down 8 units reducing my stakes instead of chasing. Since the low after 343 bets, it has been straight up for the next 789 bets without any major correction. Conversely, the overall volume was not as high as I wanted and the ROI over the entire season has been my weakest in the last 7 years.

I still very much enjoy the entire process but at the same time it kind of starts feeling like a 'waste of time' seeing how much money can be made just betting on the Memecoins currently. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon though and I'm really looking forward to the challenge next season once again trying to improve my overall skill and get my volume up.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2023-2024

I did have 1 final bet in the last match which ended up losing. This brings the total of highlighted pre-game bets for the season at 87 at flat stakes earning +8.395 units good for a +9.65% ROI which is extremely solid. These bets for 4 years now have been the best way for anyone looking to follow and get some action in. The fact remains though that the way to beat the betting market is always to do your own work and take everything that I share just as info and motivation.

I updated my chart and my stats of the last 4 years which is how long I have had the approach of the highlighted bets. They are now showing a +6.85% ROI over 710 bets and I'm looking to continue them in the 2024-2025 Season.

I's by no means a given for me to make a profit during the playoffs so I'm quite pleased the end them well in the green even though things went sidewaways after the first 30% of the bets.

Given how things played out at the start, I would have always signed for a year where I finished below the pink expected line but with a profit. The main thing I'm not happy about it the profit and the aim was to get in around 8-10 units at least each week while this on average was just 3.7 units on average which is less than half. The poor start really didn't help in this regard as I was at that time very unsure to still have an edge which made me drop my stakes down and I never really pushed them back up. Surviving the long term in a profitable way is always my main target even if if comes at the cost of

I have had my blog now for 7 full years making previews on all matches while keeping weekly track of my personal betting results which fits in a chart that now has a whopping 9371 bets in it good for an overall realistic +3.58% ROI very. This very much lines up with the expected profit pink line ranging slightly above it actually while occasionally dipping below. If I would manage to increase my stakes and volume and maintain my edge, it would make the pink line go up in a steeper curve. This is pretty much the challenge each year.

If anything, consistency and work ethic make all of this possible and I don't really know many online who are able to do this in such a way. Each year I mentally start from zero again and each time I'm kind of surprised that I'm able to pull it off year after year.

I think one of the key aspects is that I still just really enjoy the entire process and having a hive blog really helps a lot in this regard to stay disciplined.
