The European match of Club Brugge didn't really go as I anticipated so it was ok to get away with a very limited loss on that one. I had no pre-game bets yesterday so I skipped the preview but did cover the match in-game which ended with just 1 small bet that turned out as a winner. 3 Games on Saturday...

RWDM vs Charleroi

RWDM is 2 points clear of Kortrijk for 2nd place and a final chance to stay in the league having matters in their own hands. They have been quite fortunate to take 2 wins and a draw in their first 3 matches but they did improve over what they showed in the regular season now with their new coach. Back in the regular season, the defense used to be the major issue which now looks more secure. Charleroi last week mathematically saved themselves so there will have been celebration by players and the focus might not really be on this match. However, a key factor is De Mil who formerly saved Westerlo from the relegation playoff in the regular season which was followed by the scandal match where his team in the end no longer played even though they had nothing to lose. This kind of marked him as coach and he was fired to be picked up by Charleroi who he then saved. So I'm quite sure that he will ask a personal favor to his team to show up today and give it their best. However, if this will be enough after a week of party is another thing. Charleroi also is without their best player Zorgane. The pressure could also paralyse RWDM. The only real pre-game option is to bet the home team given the situation bur for now I will skip and see how things look in-game. RWDM is the game that will need to go forward and they also play at home. This made me take 0.15 units on RWDM +0.5 Corners @ 1.850

Kv Mechelen vs AA Gent

Mechelen on paper still has a chance to win Playoff 2 but only a win will do today of they want to keep hopes up. Honestly with 6 points behind on the bets team I doubt they really have much belief left and I expect them to start this match without any stress just looking to put up a good performance in front of their home fans and if needed late in the match take crazy risks to possibly get the win. AA Gent remains the best team in playoff 2 even though their play in the last 2 matches hasn't been all that convincing. They took a narrow 3-2 win over Westerlo in a match where the coach benched De Sart out of fear for a Yellow card and suspension. He had to be brought in and made the difference. The week before against Stvv they won 0-2 but they were the weaker team overall in the play. The form of AA Gent right now simply isn't good enough for me to consider betting them pre-game at a -0.5 favorite line. A draw would also be a good result for Gent and coach Van Haezebroek is one who doesn't shy away from the draw in away games. I expect a match where Mechelen looks to start strong with high energy hoping to make the 1-0 and AA Gent to know they will get chances on the counters. Late in the match if Gent is not in the lead there should be better betting opportunities. No Pre-Game Bets

Cercle Brugge vs Genk

Racing Genk after they played and excellent match against Anderlecht got trashed twice against Club Brugge who were just a better team overall. They did show signs of big pressing and high intensity in the last match but the main issue is actual finishing power. They are now 4th 7 points behind on Club Bruge and 4 points clear of Cercle Brugge. So a win from them today could pretty much seal that spot for them. Aside from Heynen and Sor they are complete and I do expect nothing more from them to pick up where they left off before the matches against Club Brugge. In their home match against Cercle Brugge they played 1-1 due to a goalkeeper mistake in a match they always should have won. Cercle during these playoffs is just with 1 surprise win away against Union but overall kind of fell short which also reflected in their regular season results against these teams. They are without Utkus and Nazinho and absolutely need the win against Genk so they will have to take risks and go forward properly. I'm linking to odds on Genk in this match as the Club Brugge matches are by no means a reference. I took 0.5 units on Genk +0 @ 2.038
