Playoffs Week 4 Saturday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, and injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

It was an day on Saturday in playoff 2 which puts me back in the green on the week with 3 more matches of Playoff 1 to be played on Sunday and upcoming mid-week matches. I continue to however keep my stakes too low at the moment and will try to be a bit more daring.

Anderlecht vs Antwerp

Anderlecht and Hasi have gotten a lot of criticism lately and they are left with 0 on 9 in these playoffs. However, they played against the 3 best teams and they have shown some real good periods and fighting power at times, especially in the last match at home against Genk. Today, they have some defensive issues with Adryelson out while Vertonghen and Sardella also are still out. last week against Union they played ok but overall failed to create enough. Antwerp also is with a 0 on 9 with a match that included direct opponent AA Gent even though they kind of deserved a point. Antwerp is only 3 points behind and still very much are in the race for an European ticket even though the motivation for it doesn't really shine through. I kind of expect Anderlecht starting to reproduce what they put on the pitch in the first 30 minutes against Genk and Antwerp playing more in the reaction. I have leans on Anderlecht 1H -0.25 / Anderlecht on the 1H corners handicap / and Antwerp to score or BTS but haven't pulled any triggers yet. the odds on the -0.5 line on the home team is too low for me to take the risk while I don't trust Antwerp enough to go for anything more than them to score a goal. Genk vs Union

This for sure in an interesting matchup as the First regular season encounter ended in a way that Genk had no answer away to Union and it showed during that period that they just don't match up well against pressing-style teams. However in the reverse fixture on week 30, Genk has a great day while Union didn't reach their usual form resulting in a deserved 2-1 win. with 2.70-0.89 xg. Union hasn't been crazy impressive aside from their finishing which has just been absolutely deadly with David reaching a great form. So this match kind of feels like a coinflip which will depend of the form of the day. Will it be Genk again who dominates like the last match or them having issues with the Union pressing style. I don't know the answer to that unfortubately but hope it will become clear during the match. There is also the stress factor which likely will work against Genk. If I was forced to choose I would always go with Union as the underdog. For now, I'm just sticking with No Pre-Game Bets

AA Gent vs Club Brugge

The go-to bet for me a while now has been on Club Brugge 1st half as they tend to start good and comfortable taking the lead to somehow always make it hard on themselves in the 2nd half. AA Gent at times looked quite ok but there are these periods in each of the matches where they just give it away. I do expect Club Brugge to just be the better team today but at a -1 line on an away game it's just not interesting and I don't trust Gent enough to be willing to back them. Maybe in case Gent would take the lead somehow it might be an opportunity to back Brugge for a comeback. For now thouh it feels like the odds and lines are about right. Also here No Pre-Game Bets
