Playoffs Week 1 Sunday | Sint-Truiden vs Westerlo

So far so good during these playoffs with another profitable day on Saturday. If anything, it has shown that Playoff 2 for 10 weeks will be total nonsense matches with a couple of teams playing to win it while the others have no motivation and nothing really to play for. So far this produced 5-1 and 2-3 results both in favor of the team who can still take 1st place. One more of these matches is played today...

Sint-Truiden vs Westerlo

I have 2 rules in Playoff 2, which are not to bet on teams that have nothing to play for and not take any under. Sint-Truiden played a good season and still has a chance to win playoff 2 as they are 7 points behind on AA Gent which will be reduced to 4 if they win today. Their form near the end of the season was ok but not spectacular with a home win at home against Club Brugge in the last week but losses against Eupen and Antwerp both in the weeks before. The same matchup as today was played over a month ago with a 1-0 score in a match were Stvv were the better team taking all the initiative at the start missing the needed creativity and finishing power. Koita who is a key offensive player is questionable. Westerlo in the last week of the league in the last 6 minutes pulled a show refusing to play anymore along with Genk despite having no chance of dropping into the playdowns. This resulted in a lot of media attention and their coach fired over it with Good taking over until the end of the season. I do expect somewhat of a reaction from that wanting to show that they are a team that is willing to go forward. In that regard, I expect an open match where both teams will fully go for the win. However, Stvv is one of the teams with the biggest divergences in totals going -47.8% against the over at home and +16.5% away from home. I'm going in with a lean on the over, the corners over and the BTS as Westerlo given the end-of-season drama should be willing to take risks and go forward. Westerlo having a new coach also is somewhat of an uncertain factor. No Pre-Game Bets
