Playoffs Week 1 Saturday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

Friday started off with a classic playoff 2 matches where it was really boring at the start but goals came coming out of the air and one team clearly had nothing to plfor resulting in a 5-1 score landing the Over 2.75 bet. I do need to remind myself never to bet under in playoff 2 matches regardless how high the lines get adjusted. 2 Matches today with the first Playoff 1 game.

OH Leuven vs KV Mechelen

OHL in the last second managed to avoid the playdowns with a 1-0 win over Mechelen who because of this missed out on Playoff 1. The pressure and stress was what got to Mechelen and it remains the question of how motivated they will be to really go for it in playoff 2. For OHL it's a mission impossible leaving them with just some practice matches. With just 4 points behind on AA Gent and a match extra to play, I'm quite sure they will start with the intention to have a run at it and a win today would bring them closer to this. In this regard, my only 2 options are to back Mechelen or the Over. OHL however was a good home team (+23.23% ROI) and a very under home team (-67.80% ROI on Over home). I will go into this match with my leans and see how it plays out maybe taking something along the way. No Pre-Game Bets

Anderlecht vs Antwerp

Both teams have everything to play for in this Playoff 1 match. Anderlecht is only 3 points behind on Union while Antwerp in 3rd place is 6 points behind on Anderlecht. This makes this more a mus-win game for Antwerp while Anderlecht in theory could be ok with a draw. In the regular season, Anderlecht won this match with a 1-0 score in a match with a penalty goal in the 47' minute before HT where Antwerp came unwilling to play in the 1st half. Antwerp so far against the tip teams also always lost in the 1st half away. 1-0 vs Anderlecht / 1-0 vs Club Brugge / 1-0 vs Genk / 2-1 vs Gent. Anderlecht tends to take good strong starts and were co-leader in the home 1st half standings while Antwerp only came in 6th away. I took 0.2 units on Anderlecht 1H +0 @ 1.853. Antwerp has also been a team with a divergence in Home and away results against the handicaps persorming way worse away.
