Jupiler League Week 33 Sunday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

Not the best Saturday starting with 4 winners followed by 6 consecutive losing bets which puts me only slightly down on the week so far with Sunday matches yet to be played.

Standard vs Union

Standard put themselves safe in their previous match with a narrow 0-1 win in what what a coinflip match between 2 bad playing teams. Their season can be summed up as a former top team with not enough quality overall. Union is still in 1st place but they saw their lead shrink to only 2 points, their performances remained solid especially on the road but at the same time you start seeing some cracks and things no longer go as easy as during the first part of the season. Vanzeir is also stikk suspended. Betting Union is the only valid option for me but I'm not sure if I'm willing to do so at a -0.75 line. I have leans on Union & Union Team Total over but will wait and see how it goes hoping Standard scores early as Union showed multiple times that they can come back strong. No Pre-Game Bets

Cercle vs AA Gent

Tragic event last week as Cercle goalkeeper Van Damme passed away after fighting against cancer for many years. This for sure will have an impact on the game one way or another. These things can go both ways in giving Cercle Motivation or making players too emotional which makes it hard to actually play. The team has been in good form showing great things so they for sure are capable. AA Gent has been on a winning streak of 7 matches now argualbly taking an undeserved 1-0 win against Anderlecht last time which put them inside the top 4. I was tempted by a -0.25 line on them but didn't pull the trigger early this week to see the line move to -0.5. I don't expect a walk in the park and I would be surprised if AA Gent really pushed enough in case they take the lead just unconsiously out of respect for Cercle players. I'll be waiting to see how it plays out before potentially getting a bet in. No Pre-Game Bets

Anderlecht vs Charleroi

Anderlecht dropped to 5th place and doesn't have things still into their own hands. The only thing they can do is win their matches hoping AA Gent or Antwerp drops something. This didn't happen yesterday with Antwerp who narrowly won with the needed luck and AA Gent will already have played their match. Charleroi won with 5-0 in their last match against Cercle Brugge after an early lead with a deflected ball and a red card for Cercle. The score by no means is a reference and their overall results lately compared to their actual play to me indicate that they are overperforming. Anderlecht are rarely underrated and another big -1.25 line shows this for the match today. It's just not something I'm willing to get involved with so I'm opting for No Pre-Game Bets

Genk vs Eupen

Racing Genk dropped out of playoff2 and absolutely need a win today at home against Eupen who are 15th and have nothing left to play for. Overall, Genk just haven't been good enough failing to live upto their potential and never really pushing enough after taking a lead which backfires. They are only with 1 win in their last 5 games which included 3 losses. Eupen in their last 3 games has been ok but it remains to be seen how motivated they are today. Genk hasn't given any reason to trust them with a -1.25 line or for high scoring matches and I'm also on this match will be taking a pass for now. No pre-Game Bets
