Saturday once again showed that I'm simply behind on the market right now which one way or another always manages to predict the form of the day factor as Genk took the deserved win against Union on the end. 7 Matches today of which many with a lot of pressure for teams that still potentially could get in or out of the playdowns.

Standard vs Antwerp

Standard just had 4 matches against Top teams where they took 3 losses and 1 surprise away win against Brugge. They reached an ok-mediocre form which over 90 minutes in most cases was just not good enough and have nothing to play for really. So the question for this match is if Leko will keep the focus all on defense or if he's going to start trying things a bit more offensively. Looking at the total which is set at 2.25, it should be the same Standard who doesn't want the ball mainly looking not to get a goal against. Antwerp is in a similar mediocre form and they still play for some extra points in Playoff 1. I do see Antwerp as the team with more quality but the home advantage certainly counts here. I only took a 0.047 unit bet on Antwerp +0 Corners @ 1.970 as I do see a likely scenario where they are the team taking the initiative.

Club Brugge vs Charleroi

Charleroi has nothing to play for while Club Brugge really needs the 3 points at home with an eye to keep the gap between them and Genk Smaller. Charleroi clearly had some decompression last week as they only had a tiny mathematical chance which they played for. So it remains to be seen how much they can load themselves up for this match. Brugge played in Europe with their A-Squad so there might be some fatigue for them. It was tempting to take Club Brugge at a -1 line earlier this week but now after it moved to -1.25 it's no longer an option. No Pre-Game Bets

Beerschot vs Westerlo

Beerschot knows they will relegate and play stress free and especially at home still have a drive to go for it. Westerlo took a massive win last week with a great performance at home against Anderlecht and need a point today to be sure they avoid the playdowns. However, a loss likely still means that they will make it as the odds that Cercle, Dender, & OHL all win their matches is only around 2%. Their style is also to play for the win and I do expect an open match with 2 attacking teams today. I did take an initial 0.2 units on Over 2.75 @ 1.878 with an eye to possibly take more.

AA Gent vs Kortrijk

AA Gent actually has found a good form in recent weeks and have improved a lot. They took the deserved win against Antwerp away last week and have not lost in their last 9 league matches of which 6 ended in a draw. Kortrijk last week played a good match and took the deserved win at home against OHL. However with 8 points short on the 14th place right now it feels like they are in a similar situation as Beerschot with just a tiny but of hope but a win is absolutely needed today. So it should be a match between a home team that picked up its form and a bottom away side who needs to win and also started to have better performance. A Kortrijk win would not come a a massive surprise for me but I'm also not sure if I want to take the gamble on it as a collapse is also certainly possible. So my main interest goes out to a potential over bet. I am waiting for it in-game though at better odds. No Pre-Game Bets

OH Leuven vs Sint-Truiden

OHL put up another terrible performance last week but generally are better at home. They are 2 points clear of a Playdown spot and need a draw at home to be safe. This while Stvv only is helped with a win. So I guess a scenario where Stvv is the team with the initiative while OHL lures on the counters might very well be an option. OHL in their last 3 home matches against Westerlo/Dender/Mechelen who are similar type opponents lost their corners 3 times and this with a combined 5-23 score. So I will keep an eye out to possibly take Stvv (who haven't been that good on the corners themselves) in-game. I already did take 40 USDC as a crypto bet on Stvv -0.5 corners @ 2.450.

Anderlecht vs Cercle Brugge

Anderlecht is generally not reaching a good form especially with Dolberg out they are now at the bottom of the xg stats over the last 4 games at just 0.84. Cercle Brugge has shown good things but at the same time too often had periods where they just gave it all away in a short time. They had a mid-week match in Europe where they fully went for it and almost turned it around but failed in the end while likely picking up some fatigue. So it remains to be seen which cercle and which Anderlecht will show up today. both an outright away win or an easy multi-goal Anderlecht win would not come as a major surprise to me. One thing is sure in that depending on the other results, Cercle needs at least a draw and possibly a win. So the scorelines in the other matches might be a major factor in how this match plays out on the pitch. I lean toward a 1H under but with the total line set at 2.25 I'm more leaning toward a 2H over if the 1st half would end with a 0-0 draw. No Pre-Game Bets

Kv Mechelen vs Dender

Mechelen after taking a 0-1 win over Charleroi last week is safe and there could be some decompression today or maybe some pressure-free football. Dender has been putting up decent performances which did not get rewarded with results which leaves them in a spot where their have to either win today or hope that both Cercle and stvv lose their match. So basically they need the win also while the draw could also save them. As their performances have been ok, I just expect them to play this match at least at the start similar to how they played their previous matches with high intensity and pressing. Depending on how the other matches go, they can take more risk later in the match if needed. I had a lean on Dender but didn't pull the trigger and missed the best odds. This mainly because I hate to bet on teams who are in a negative results flow even though what they bring has been quite ok. Often there is a trend where luck or bad luck tends to go on and this is the scenario that kind of feels likely today. Dender as the better team but one way or another failing to score while getting a goal against which is followed by a possible collapse. Dender has done well on the corners away winning their last 4 while at the same time Mechelen also won their last 4 at home. No Pre-Game Bets
