Not all too much action in Saturday aside from the Crypto bets which could have given a lot more profit as AA Gent took a red card and (once again) missed some major open chances. 4 More matches today...

Genk vs Standard

Genk is still in a fight for Playoff 1 but it feels like a mission impossible at this point and a top 8 Spot is likely what they are fighting for at this point. They took a 2-1 loss against OHL late in the match after playing with 10 players for 80+ minutes. Overall they still have the potential to be a team to easily win against anyone but there is not enough guarantee whatsoever right now to actually bet on this. Standard remains a team I don't value that high even though recently they did pick up some more confidence after just losing 1 match in their last 5. opposing them is still my only real option. So my lean on this match is on Genk but I have no hurry to get in and I rather wait to see the in-game match dynamics before potentially getting in. Standard potentially could settle for a draw while Genk needs to go for the win and eventually take risks. No Pre-Game Bets

Union vs Sint-Truiden

There seems to be no stopping Union and they took a deserved 10 on 12 in their real test against Antwerp, Club Brugge, Anderlecht & Genk. They still have their A-Squad available and the big question is how big of a favorite they should be. Stvv is in a relatively safe zone even though they can use some more points with the narrow 1-3 win against Kortrijk last week giving them some good relief. I'm expecting a match where Stvv locks things down from the start trying to get something in on the counter. If it stays 0-0 for a while or if Stvv somehow manages to score first, then I'll be looking to possibly get in on union. I did take a 0.2 unit pre-game bet on Union -1.75 Corners @ 1.930 because the expected match picture should be in the direction of the goal of Stvv and Union should not stop this in case they take the lead. Stvv also lost against this handicap in their 3 last away matches. I do anticipate taking a middle or hedging out in the case Union scores a couple quick corners early on.

Club Brugge vs Charleroi

Club Brugge has failed to impress for quite a while now and their new coach also has been making some rather weird / bad tactical choices. This leaves them now in 4th place and 12 points behind on Union while the players they have should be capable of a lot more. Charleroi on the other hand has been rather fortunate in their last 4 games. They got the lead against play against Seraing last week which helped them to be the better team in the 2nd half. The week before Stvv were the better team even though Charleroi took home the 3 points. They have some new offensive players in Heymans and Badji while key creative player Morioka is uncertain. I missed the early value on Club Brugge and am not going to chase it now after the odds moved a lot in a match where I'm not that comfortable to back Club and oppose Charleroi to begin with. The bet I am most comfortable with is for Club Brugge to score more corners in the 1st half even though the offers are limited which forces me to go with lowe odds which I don't really like to do. Club Brugge 1st Half -0.5 Corners @ 1.610 is what I took for 0.3 units and I will be looking to potentially add more in-game if possible.

Beerschot vs Kortrijk

Beeschot fired their coach in a desperate attempt as they are last 10 points behind with 9 more matches to go. Basically, every match from Beerschot now is a must-win so they have to take risks as a bad team that is also vulnerable for a mental collapse. The coach change might switch this dynamic at least at the start of the match which has to be seen. Opposing Beerschot and Taking the over both with high odds is what I have been doing in recent weeks with good success and it is my only option to continue on this route. Kortrijk has been an anonymous team. Their match last week against Stvv could have gone both ways and they suffered from a bad pitch. Against Club Brugge, they narrowly lost 0-1 and generally are in a bad points streak without playing horribly. Beerschot had on average 13.75 corners in their last 4 games showing their willingness to go forward. Kortrijk however had 7.25 corners on average in their last 4 games. Most likely, this will be another Beerschot math where both teams are just willing to go for it without fear and goals at some point. I did take an initial 0.4 unit bet on Over 2.75 @ 2.082 with an eye to take more in-game if it turns out a match where both are cautious at the start. I also took 0.2 units on Beerschot 1st Half Corners +0.25 @ 1.850 and 0.15 units on Beerschot +0.5 Corners @ 1.850. More in-play betting options should arise.
