It was a fairly straightforward match yesterday with sharp odds aside of the 1st half Under which is what I got into cautiously for 0.25 units of profit on the match. RWDM vs OH Leuven

One of the main issues of RWDM in their recent matches is their weak defense getting a ton of goals against after 90 minutes. They had 3.08xg against them vs Anderlecht away, 2.99xg at home against Antwerp, 1.68xg at home against Standard, 3.61xg away against Union, and 2.71xg away against Mechelen. All this while their own xg in the last 12 at best was 1.42 with 8 of those below 1. This got them in 14th place and 3 points down on both Charleroi and OHL. So for them to avoid the Playdowns this match is a must-win pretty much. This won't be easy as their form and poor defense aren't in their favor along with the fact that the new playdown system seems to have changed the dynamics as it's no longer do-or-die at this stage of the league which seems to create less bottom team upsets. OHL had mixed performances but in the end only lost 1 match with 1-0 in their last 5 against Standard. Last week showed that they are not the team who are good when having to make the play. I expect OHL to be focused defensively and playing their favorite game to strike on the counters settling with a draw if needed which isn't a bad result for them. RWDM will have to come and I do expect over 90 minutes for OHL being the team with just more quality. I took 0.4 units on OHL +0 @ 1.863

Sint-Truiden vs Westerlo

Stvv has been a team that is able to put up good performances but most of the time only 1 half. This was seen again last week against Anderlecht where a 0-1 deserved lead at halftime was followed by a 4-1 score after 90 minutes. Their main issue remains scoring goals while they generally manage to remain secure in defense. They are in a zone where there is not much left to win or lose which might either work for or against them. Westerlo is 4 points clear of a play-down spot and still needs points. Their form has picked up and they only lost 1 match in their last 5 with all of them going to 3 goals or more. They have a style where offense is the best defense resulting in generally fun matches. This however might play into favor of Stvv who will get counter opportunities. Westerlo is missing 3 Strikers which are 1st choice but still Have Frigan who is their most expensive Striker. It will be interesting to see what he can do now that he's getting his chance but it doesn't look like their coach hasn't that much confidence. The -0.25 line on the home team and 2.5 total line feel quite fair. No pre-Game Bets

Kv Mechelen vs Kv Kortrijk

Mechelen is a hyped team right now as they are on the top of the ranking after the winter break. Their style under their new coach has shifted to more secure defensively which is paying off. Their new Striker Slimani also showed to be a big enforcement last week in his first match. I only partly go along with the current enthusiasm on this team but not to the extent where I'm looking to oppose them. Kortrijk had a brief revive after they got their new coach but in the end it just shows that there is not enough quality. One of their issues it scoring goals and in their last 17 matches, they never got above 1xg. Mechelen still has a chance at Playoff 1 even though it's not a realistic one so I do expect them to take risk in order to get the win which might leave open an opportunity for the visitors. I need to see how the match plays out first though. My lean is on Mechelen 1st Half corner handicap but there is no line yet and If my hand was forced I probably would go with the Underdog. Luckily it isn't and I can just stick with No Pre-Game Bets
