I continue to be in a poor streak which continued yesterday with some more losses and frustration. While I want to go chase as the stakes that I have been keeping low have room to be increased, I continue to just be cautious limiting the damage and if needed settling for a first losing season in a long time. Everything is yet yo play for though and if I can drop 3 units in the matter of weeks it's also very much possible to raised 3+ units in that timespan. So 4 matches today and the grind continues.

AA Gent vs Beerschot

AA gent continued to be a team that I prefer to oppose and they lost 0-3 at home against betis in the mid-week which now puts all their focus on the league starting today against Beerschot. Their goal is to reach playoff 1 and they likely need 2 more wins to reach that. So today is an excellent chance to take a step toward that and the station is sold out against Beerschot. They do tend to perform better at home where they are 6W-4.5L-1.5P against the asian handicap. Their team is also slightly stronger now with Vanzeir as a new striker. They are a team where them losing to anyone is not a major surprise while they also still should be able to put up a solid performance if they have a good day. Beerschot remains dead last but at times put up hopeful performances still showing a lot of hunger. Only really against Union away they got destroyed, while at the same time most of the matches where they were ok they lost. So for today I expect a match where Beerschot at least starts ok with Gent possibly having some fatigue but after 90 minutes still taking the narrow win. the -1 line on the home team and 2.75 total line feel quite correct. No Pre-Game Bets

Union vs Mechelen

Union got punished by Ajax with a 0-2 loss and I assume they will put priority on the league playing their best 11 who might suffer some fatigue They remain a solid team and play today against Mechelen who are fighting against a playdown spot. last week at home they were ok but gave away a 3-1 lead late in the match which puts them in the danger zone still with lots of pressure. They also tend to be better at home compared to on the road so basically this is a match between a team in a good flow at home and a bad flow away. So anything but a home win would be a surprise. I do expect Mechelen to crawl back and play on the counter. I don't like to bet on the team who picked up fatigue from an European match though. So I will just wait and see. No Pre-Game Bets

Charleroi vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht played a semi B-Squad in Europe where they got trashed 3-0 against Fenerbahce. They are a team who are capable of the best and the worst as they score rather easily while at times they just give it away and are nowhere in a match. So it's hard to bet them as it always feels like a gamble. Charleroi is in a zone where on the one hand they are not fully safe yet while still having an eye on playoff 1. Assuming Gent wins against Beerschot, the gap will be 7 points which will be too big and I'm sure at that point that they would just sign for a draw if they could. So this match fully depends on the objective of Charleroi and the total line indicates that they are happy with a 0-0. I honestly have no clue at the moment and will wait to see how it plays out. Cercle Brugge vs Westerlo

This is set out to be an interesting match between 2 teams who have been in a good streak. however, they both are only 1 point away from the danger zone and still need to take points. A draw in a way for both would not be the end of the world as they reach closer to this goal while not seeing a direct competitor pull away. At the same time, the win for both teams would be quite huge in the mission to avoid the playdowns. The matches of Westerlo have seen quite some goals with all last 5 going to 3+ while Cercle often plays 1-0 / 0-1 / 1-1 scores. Cercle as the small home favorite feels about right and I have no clue also here what it will turn out into. The only bet that kind of tempts me is the Draw @ 3.601 which I took just 0.05 units on.
