Small profit yesterday to start the weekend but I'm still kicking myself for not getting in on the 2H over. Regardless, it's nice still to come away with a profit in a match where I dodged a loss by going for a HT bet and taking a conservative line. More matches on Saturday...
Seraing vs Standard
These are 2 teams that I look to oppose. Standard is ranked too high based on the quality in their team. They even lost quality with Ammalah and Raskin no longer with them while they are also no longer in the flow. They only had 1 shot on target in their last 2 matches combined and scoring is an issue. Seraing over the entire season only have an average of 2.7 shots on target in their matches and they only scored 3 goals at home where their matches average just 0.33 goals in the 1st half. Based on all this I took an early crypto bet on
1st half Under 1 @ 1.963 for 0.0032 BTC and 0.0018 BTC on
Under 2.5 @ 1.970. Managed to get just 0.2 units on
1st half Under 1 @ 2.020 &
0.1 unit on Under 2.5 @ 2.010 with my regular betting stakes before the odds went down a lot. now the 1st half odds are a 1.83 and the under moved to 2.25. I also might consider Seraing +0.5 or +0.75 but I haven't pulled the trigger yet and likely will need to see the start of the match.
Eupen vs Sint-Truiden
Sint-Truiden played a cup match 90 minutes with 10 vs 11 losing against Zulte-Waregem during the mid-week. In the league on the road they have been good and are ranked 4th. Eupen didn't play a cup match and should be fresh coming off a 1-2 loss against Charleroi in a match that could have gone both ways. Stvv still should have a bit more quality overall which justifies the line where they are the small favorite. Nothing in this match makes me willing to take a gamble, so

Kv Mechelen vs Oostende
Mechelen right now is in a form dip after things went really good right after Defour took over. They got lucky to qualify for the cup in a match that could have gone both ways winning with 0-1 from Kortrijk. At home they also usually manage to bring something extra but they still are on my list of teams to potentially oppose right now. Oostende is 2 points behind them in 16th place which makes this a relegation battle. They lost their last 3 matches getting a ton of goals against. They also are in a pattern of playing a good 1st half followed by a bad 2nd half. Mechelen in their last 4 home matches had an average of 15.25 corners while Oostende has been pretty neutral on corners. If the odds rise quickly early in the match, I likely will take a stab at the over corners and my overall lean in this match is on Oostende +0.75 which feels like a gamble so I'm staying away for now.
No Pre-Game Bets
Genk vs Zulte-Waregem
Genk remains the team that impressed the most in the league so far even though they slipped up against Kortrijk in the league and Antwerp in the cup. They are willing to play very offensively which leaves options for the opponents to score making it so that they rarely keep clean sheets. They also will be without Paintsil and Munoz who are both important. Regardless, they still have a lot more quality compared to Zulte-Waregem who are 2nd last. They were enforced with Vormer and Bruls who both give the team a lot more experience which showed in their previous 2 matches. They too a 2-0 win against a poor Mechelen last week in the league and managed to qualify in the cup after a 2-0 win against Stvv who played with 10 the entire match. These 2 matches are by no means a reference for the match today against Racing Genk and the most likely scenario is that the home team will jut be superior despite the missings and zulte being in a good streak. Given the fact that Genk tends to get goals against, I went for 0.2 units on
Genk To Win & Both To Score @ 2.458. I also took this as a crypto bet over at
xfun.bet for 10000 XFUN. These types of matches, I generally put at 1.80-1.85 for the -1.5 line and I took a small 0.2 unit initial bet on
Genk -1.5 @ 1.913 with an eye to possibly take more in-game. If Genk has an early offense and creates a bunch of corners, I might take Zulte+ handicap on that in-game as it's set quite high based on the overall stats of both teams.
