Some more profit yesterday despite the limited action and smaller stakes. I'm hoping to continue the good run and aim to slightly increase my stakes more in the 4 matches today which all look quite interesting. Here are the Previews...
Antwerp vs Standard
Standard just hasn't been any good this season even though they did manage to beat their Asian handicaps away from home going 4.5W-3L-0.5P against the Asian handicaps. The story is always the same where they have good intensity but lack in quality. They ended up losing 0-3 at home against Standard in a match where their fans stormed the field at the end. Antwerp on the other hand is cruising along with 4 wins in their last 5 games. Antwerp should be the better quality team in good form playing at home. I'm going with a rather cautious 0.3 pre-game bet on
Antwerp -0.25 @ 1.840 which is a very straightforward bet. I don't fully understand why the odds went up quite a bit which is the reason for me staying cautious. Antwerp team total Over is also something I will be keeping an eye on. I do expect a very defensive Standard at the start and the first goal to be the most difficult.
Union vs Kv Mechelen
Union remains a good team even though in the past 2 games they didn't manage to overly impress in their last 2 matches. They took a deserved lead against Stvv but crawled back afterward still winning the match by 1-2. They also over the course of the season haven't managed to beat their Asian handicaps at home being even going 4W-4L. Mechelen also has shown some decline in form lately taking a draw at home against a mediocre Genk and playing a poor match away against Cercle losing 3-1. They have shown to be capable to have good days though. The bet I'm looking the most at is Mechelen +3 corners which I might get into live if Union scores the first couple of corners or takes the lead. I'm not trusting Mechelen enough to back them in this match and I'm also not willing to take Union on a -1.25 handicap. Should be a fun match.
No Pre-Game Bets
AA Gent vs Genk
Genk has a new coach who made some really strange decisions in the line-up and with the substitutions during the mid-week leaving them with a bad performance and 0-1 loss against Rapid in the Europa League. AA Gent on the other hand is in good form and took a deserved win in the Conference League with their B-Squad. The momentum for sure is with the home team and I do expect a match with forward intentions where AA Gent is better both on the offensive and defensive end. I only took a tiny 0.15 unit bet on
AA Gent 1st Half -0.25 @ 1.915 along with some on the
Over 11.5 Corners @ 2.53 needing some kind of confirmation to increase my stakes in-game.
Club Brugge vs Zulte-Waregem
Club Brugge has been reliable in that they disappoint in their matches not bringing what they are ultimately capable of. They had another blow-out loss in the champions league after showing excellent performance in the first couple of group matches. Zulte-Waregem remains a tricky team and they are easily capable of losing with blow-out numbers against good teams both home and away. That being said, they are 7W-1L in their away matches against the Asian Handicap showing that they are underrated as a team. The only real option for me is Zulte-Waregem +2 .25 which does feel crazy high. Club Brugge is the best home 1st halt team outright winning 6 out of 10 so far so I do expect them to push for the lead early on. If anything, Club Brugge hasn't been able to keep clean sheets very much lately so Zulte should have a fair chance in scoring a goal as they nearly always score away from home. I did take 0.2 units on
Zulte-Waregem +4.5 Corners @ 1.900 since Club Brugge hasn't been all that impressive on the corners and a likely 1st half lead for Club Brugge should reduce the corners for them later on. Club Brugge to win & Both To Score @ 2.1+ is also on an option for a pre-game bet. I'll leave a lot of my options open for in-game betting.
