The first 3 matches of week 18 turned out pretty good making a bit more profit compared to what I lost in the cup matches prior. 2 more days with matches this year starting now on Monday with 4 of them each broadcast separately. Most betting action likely will be in-game. Here are the previews on each match...

Club Brugge vs OH Leuven

Club Brugge overall despite being green against their asian handicaps in both home and away games have underperformed to the point where this is a do or die match for their coach. They were the better team in the cup match but still ended up losing with 1-4 against Stvv and they have had a really hard time keeping clean sheets and getting at least 2 goals against in each of their last 5 league games. OHL have picked up their form a bit again and should be a difficult opponent. Basically all the odds feel pretty accurate given the situation and I will just be waiting this one out to better estimate how it actually is going to play out. No Pre-Game Bets

Union vs Oostende

These 2 teams played the exact encounter in the cup. That match turned into a very narrow 2-1 win for Union with Oostende having a real shot. Both teams also went from it from the start and a similar match can be expected today. I can see both scenarios happening where Union is just way better today or Oostende being able to actually rival them. The 3.25 over line is possibly overly adjusted to the situation and the +1.5 just not high enough for me to take the gamble on Oostende. Union will be without Lynen while Oostende is without Hornby. Also Here, No Pre-Game Bets

Kortrijk vs Genk

Kortrijk actually played a good cup match against OHL away winning with 1-3 while Genk didn't fully convince against a good Anderlecht needing Extra time for a 1-goal win in the end. Genk will be complete while Kortrijk is missing their goalkeeper Ilic and D'Haene is suspended. The home team traditionally does well in these Christmas matches. This along with the fact that Genk has yet to confirm their excellent form of the first half of the season recently keeps me away and I will watch and see how this plays out before getting in. No Pre-Game Bets

Charleroi vs Anderlecht

Charleroi has got Mazzu back as coach who was fired in Anderlecht a while back. This will be his first match and what generally can be expected is for Charleroi to once again start playing their anti-football with an eye on just breaking down their opponent first. Mazu knows Anderlecht which should give a tactical advantage and there also is the coach change effect. This kind of played out for Anderlecht in the cup with their new coach as they actually put up a solid performance against Genk. Overall, I'm still not convinced on Anderlecht as the core player quality remains the issue. I do see Anderlecht as a bit overrated while I do expect a Charleroi at home with the good mindset. This had me taking a 0.4 unit bet on Charleroi +0.25 @ 2.192 pre-game. The under was also something I had in mind as Mazzu is a 1-0 type of coach and Anderlecht still has issues to score. The odds however dropped making me skip that.
