The main bet lost yesterday as the match simply didn't turn out the way I anticipated ad my poor form kind of continues with overall a limited loss in the European matches to start off week 16. I continue to be cautious starting today with an interesting match.

Kv Kortrijk vs Kv Mechelen

Kortrijk played an ok 1st half last week but weren't able to keep it up for 90 minutes and in fact totally collapsed in the 2nd half after getting a goal against early. They are 2nd last with 15 point and 3 losses in a row scoring just once while getting 10 goals against. However, this is only 8 points away from a playoff 1 spot so nothing is lost even though their general form and motivation simply hasn't been any good. In their previous home match they played a bad 1st half with zero drive and a better 2nd half when they were behind against Antwerp. So overall not a team that can be trusted at the moment and a good performance can be seen as a surprise. Their coach also kind of feels like being at the end of a journey after keeping them in last year as he doesn't really seem happy with the way things are going. Mechelen on the other hand has looked quite good and a valid contender for playoff 1 which they currently are inside of. They tend to do well at home and actually not that bad on the road overall beating their handicaps with a 9W-4L-2P record. They are also still a team who are overish at home but underish on the road while Kortrijk had a really hard time to score goals. They are an under home team but over away team. There is a quality and form difference between these teams to the point where I was willing to take 0.25 units on Kv Mechelen -0.25 @ 1.833 with an eye to possibly get in more in-game. I also took a tiny 0.05 unit bet on Kv Kortrijk Team Total Under 1 @ 1.990
