Jupiler League Playoffs Week 4 Saturday Previews

These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

Again only 4 matches this weekend but I have plenty of ideas for potential bets so I hope it will be fun and if possible also profitable.

Playoff 2 Standings

Westerlo vs Standard

Standard gave away a 2-0 lead last week against Westerlo which right now only makes it mathematically possible still to win playoff 1. In reality, however, everyone knows it's over as a 7 point gap with 3 more matches and the best team being on top is too much. I do however expect Standard to play for the win and take risks if needed while Westerlo for their own fans also are going to want to end the season well. So this should turn out in an entertaining playoff 2 match with the potential of many goals. The previous home match of Westerlo ended in a spectacular 3-5 score against Cercle who I consider better than Standard. Westerlo was the best 1st half team at home in the regular season and I see slightly higher chance of Standard having a let-down spot today as the fight for playoff 2 is pretty much over. I did take a tiny 0.15 unit bet on Westerlo 1st Half +0 @ 1.852. I am also keeping an eye out on a big over total at higher odds.

AA Gent vs Cercle Brugge

AA Gent did a great deal winning last week away against Cercle Brugge in the end with a 0-4 score as Orban once again is scoring every ball he touches. A draw is enough for AA Gent to be mathematically sure that is if Standard doesn't win from Westerlo. Cercle in theory is not eliminated yet and I'm quite sure that they will go for it and try. Their coach wasn't happy with the defense in their last match so this one might not start with a crazy high pace. My lean for sure is on AA Gent and the over and I'm still considering different options. Gent Team totale over 1.5, Over 2.75, Gent to Win & Both To Score are all bets on my radar but I haven't pulled any triggers yet. For now, I'm just waiting to see how the match goes before getting in. No Pre-Game Bets
