On to the 2nd week of the playoffs with 2 matches on Saturday and 2 on Sunday...

Playoff 1 Standings

Club Brugge vs Union SG

Club Brugge played a good 1st half against Genk taking the deserved lead but still managed to lose with a 3-1 score in the end against Genk who was better after they scored the 1-1 out of nowhere. Now being 8 points behind on Union, this is a match where a win is mandatory not to have 4 matches left that are about nothing. Union against Antwerp turned out to be just not good enough and they lost at home with a dry 0-2 score. A draw for them today would not be the worst result. The only real bet that tempts me is Union Team total over 1.5 @ 2.7+ odds as Club Brugge will need to take risks. The intensity and overall vibe of these playoff 1 matches tend to be a lot different compared to the regular season and I don't feel I have the best grip on it so I'm waiting for potential in-game betting action. Playoff 2 Standings

Standard vs AA Gent

Only the winner of Playoff 2 will be granted the last European Ticket and Gent right now is in the lead with 2 points clear of Standard. With an eye on the standings, a draw might be a result that both teams would be able to live with. This leaves everything wide open. I just don't see Standard taking high risk to go for the win knowing that a loss really kills their chance and AA Gent coach generally is happy with the draw result in difficult away matches like this. I do consider AA Gent as the team with more quality but Standard has their days at home where you simply don't want to oppose them, especially as the underdog. For this one, I was willing to take just 0.1 unit on Draw @ 3.784 and I will keep it at that.
